Maaaaaaan if Cam did this!

To piggyback on the comments of others, there is a definite difference of the criticism of The Golden Calf of Bristol and that of Cam.

The Golden Calf of Bristol, up to now, has been criticized only for his football skills (or lack thereof). This has been offset by damn near everyone talking about what a great guy he is. How many times have we heard comments like "the guy really stuggles as a passer, but he's the kind of guy you would want your daughter to bring to dinner".

Cam gets criticism for his play as well, and frankly, I usually have no problem with that type criticism when warranted. But he also gets constantly criticized for his character. This is in spite of the fact that he has never really done anything in the NFL that is indicative of someone with poor character. Sure, he has some maturity issues to work on, but he's not out clubbing or getting DUI's, he's not getting caught with guns, he doesn't have 6 or 8 kids getting child support, he doesn't throw his teammates under the proverbial bus, and he is generous with charity donations and with his time for good causes.

The double standard is blatant. I never really thought much about this bias until watching what Cam has gone through, but it becomes clearer to me every day. If I were him, I would be extremely distrustful of the press and be very wary of giving any kind of interview.

This is all you need to know about The Golden Calf of Bristol...

He would be that guy at Florida to walk into the cafeteria full of people with his shirt off fresh out of a workout..

And good boy virgin The Golden Calf of Bristol would get "serviced" on the regular by willing females...

Not saying either of these things are bad...just saying...

And he also talks really annoying..like he's always out of breath or something

Agreed, Cam doesnt even have a freakin TWITTER and the only time he post something on facebook is when its related to his charity work. He is in a lose lose situation with the media. I would have stopped giving them attention a long time ago.

Such a fuging team player, instead of calling him what he is;Selfish. Instead you have reporters saying "Good for The Golden Calf of Bristol sticking up for himself."

You can fuging say racism isn't alive yadda, yadda, yadda. But the fact of the matter is, Cam is a definitely a victim of double standards and the fact some you are ENTIRELY oblivious is amazing.

The media knows The Golden Calf of Bristol is a very self-centered person and they know Cam is a cool kid. But, it's clearly easier to smear Cam's image, while painting The Golden Calf of Bristol as a saint because they know the society in which we're living in.

Of course there is extreme double standard with The Golden Calf of Bristol. You can see it with how the media has been trying to use The Golden Calf of Bristol to ruin Sanchez QB career while begging American to keep giving The Golden Calf of Bristol a chance despite him showing time and time again that he cannot even throw a ball.

I don't even think it's racism as much as I believe it's the ego driven mindset that has engulfed our sports media. They now feel they can control the minds of their audience by having everyone of their writers, and collegues be on the same page with their agenda. Whether it's the endless positive spin of The Golden Calf of Bristol or their need to find endless fault with everything Cam does.

When ESPN made it public a couple of weeks ago that they were going to cut back on the The Golden Calf of Bristol talk, that alone made it clear to me that the endless The Golden Calf of Bristol connversations were more media orchestrated and less of fans actually caring that much about The Golden Calf of Bristol. The same thing can be said about the constant srutinizing of Cam. When he got drafted the first thing one of the guys on NFLN stated was, Cam being drafted # one was not the end of them scrutinizing his every move. It was the beginning.

Notice that with Luck, all you hear is when he breaks records or do things to help the team. No one makes much about his INTS as they did with Cam. And RG III is more in the media, while Luck flies under the radar. It's intentional.

Disagree with you there, I'm not a The Golden Calf of Bristol fan but I'd love to know what The Golden Calf of Bristol has done to warrant him a self-centered title.

Irrespective of how this may or may not relate to the media's treatment of Cam...The Golden Calf of Bristol is right. I believe he was listed as the number 2 quarterback all year, and now he gets passed over. Not sure if anything was promised to The Golden Calf of Bristol regarding this kind of situation when he signed up, but it was a pretty dickish move by Ryan.

The Golden Calf of Bristol better go to the Canadian league if he ever wants a starting role again.

I think Jacksonville might give him a shot, Khan really likes him. I wouldn't be surprised him Khan went after The Golden Calf of Bristol dumped Gabbert and hire McDaniels as the head coach.

Khan has a hard on for The Golden Calf of Bristol.

The Golden Calf of Bristol will definitely be a Jag next year, but it's a business reason. Khan wants The Golden Calf of Bristol there to sell tickets only. The Golden Calf of Bristol will be in the same situation next year as this year; a 1yr season. Though he may get more a couple starts but that wont mean anything. Itll only creat more controversy between The Golden Calf of Bristol and Gabbert. They'll be drafting another QB in 2014 if they decides not to in 2013.
