Cam is perceived to have an "athletic arrogance"

As a black QB with that kind of athleticism Cam is expected to be humble, contrite, and docile about possessing size and ability that a lot of pocket passers and fans covet. Cam plays with a swagger that "rubs people the wrong way" because he doesnt play with his head down and an "aww shucks" mentality. Thats why fans who dont get mad about Brady's fist pumps, or Jake's hollaring and fist pumps, and Rodgers belt check call Cam a "showboater". Guarantee you if he were a scrub or didnt possess such athletic ability (and get praised for it) he wouldnt be hated, he'd be seen as a nice guy like Byron Leftwich. They'd just say he's not that good. A lot of the hate stems from him having athletic ability that people just dont have and to cope with it, they want you to be humble, they dont want you to be confident or inspire others to be. We've seen Vick go thru it, we've seen LeBron go thru it, now its Cams turn. Cam is just too confident in himself for his own good. He "brings it on himself".

The people who are calling Cam a showboater or holding him to a different standard than other QBs are that way because they have others do their thinking for them. They pay way too much attention to ESPN and other outlets. I'm pretty sure I haven't seen as much hatred towards Cam lately on here or on ESPN. I will say one thing EVERYONE who is succeeding or have god given talents should be humble, that isn't just something we ask of Cam because he is a "black QB" with great athleticism. It is something that everyone should possess.
