Uh oh, Giants just lost. It would take the stars to align and a math miracle for the Giants to get into the playoffs. Since we already know Ross is most likely our guy, we will interview him as a formality ofcourse, I could see Ross becoming our new GM by middle of next week after week 17 and since the Giants season will be over.

I dont know about you guys but this Panther fan is giddy!

Not going to happen that soon, you can bet your money that the Panthers will want to interview Gamble as well. The last thing the Panthers need to do is jump to a hasty decision regarding who will be their next general manager.

My thoughts exactly.

But, of course, Accorsi has had a couple of months now to really put together who he wants. So, maybe Ross has been his guy all along? If that's the case, then yeah, we'll see a hire immediately.

Normally I would agree that it wont happen that fast. But unlike other teams, we have been vetting these guys for months now. Other than interviews what more is there? Accorsi has already gathered all the meat and potatoes on these guys.. Education. Background, draft history, experience etc. If JR already knows Ross is the guy and aslong as he doesnt bomb the interview, im thinking JR will want to move rather fast.
