Does this sloppy win help Rivera's chances?

You are correct.

I guess you are thrilled that Cam played the whole game, same with Smitty and DWill. I would have put some guys in at WR, RB and yes at QB. Looking ahead to next season is all we have.

I suppose you feel on top of the world that a hapless Raiders led by Matt Leinart gave us a good game.

Don't get hurt celebrating.

oh yeah check me out, just dancing in the streets

wins matter and the fact that we haven't won a game like this ever under these circumstances matters. i guess we disagree there. the raiders also have a tough defense that hasn't laid down despite problems with injuries and inconsistency on offense.

you wouldn't coincidentally also be one of those people who wanted to go 0-16 for luck last year would you?

And a few weeks ago we lost to the might Brady Quinn lead Chiefs.

Shut the hell up, dude. Enjoy the win and the progress this team is making instead of being "that guy."

stirs thinks we should have put in derek anderson in the second half to "see what he has".

sadly, that would have been useless as we were playing the "mighty raiders" and wouldn't have been able to take anything from what we observed! what a conundrum!

we should start clausen and bench the entire starting defense next week against the saints. need to see what they have.

actually, we should forfeit and just schedule a scrimmage in charlotte instead. there's nothing to be gained from actually playing next week.

you know, that gets me thinking: we should have just cancelled the season after we were eliminated from playoff contention.

we should also cancel the season next year. after all, only one team will win the super bowl and the odds are long for any given team.

I hope it helps his chances of leaving.

Yet another game against an inferior opponent that the Panthers "should" win." One of those "this is a game you're supposed to win," yet the Panthers find a way to keep it close and shoot themselves in the foot with stupid penalties, which is another sign of an undisciplined team.

Crush the Falcons, lose to the Chiefs, barely scrape by Oakland... the consistency is non-existent.

Honestly, given the way the OL looked and how inconsistent Newton was mid-year, I entertained the idea that it might be prudent to sit him till next season. But then things turned around big time.

Glad Rivera didn't share my feelings on that front.

The Raiders aren't as bad as their record indicates?

I mean lets look at some of their games this year;

Steelers 31 Raiders 34

Raiders 20 Falcons 23

Buccaneers 42 Raiders 32

Chiefs 00; Raiders 15

Yeah they've had thier fiar share of terrible games, but we've not been the only team that's struggled with them.
