just like the ducks run game is dead, right?

lol

The ducks who go up against Pac-12 defenses or worse? Once the Pac-12 defenses are seen in the NFL, Kelly would have a shot. Yet as of NFL calibur defenses, there is no successful team, that runs a majority read option offense.

Anybody that's saying a change of system is a setback doesn't know what the f they are talking about. I can name one team that hasn't been affected by changes and they are in our own backyard. When Mike Smith came to the Falcons they won 11 games that year and look at this year. They had a change at oc and dc and now they are in the runnings to become the #1 seed in the NFC. I am sick of sh@#.

no one is running it the way he would, and no...chud isn't.

and who has tried doing it?

and who says that chip would try to run the same offense in the pros he did in oregon?

You do realize no QB for the Ducks have been the teams leading rusher, right!?

Probably not!

It will be so if he came to Carolina. To run that offense is like trying to run the wildcat offense. Except our guy can throw the ball. I for one don't want my QB, held back by such an elementary offense. I want Cam to excel in passing, and have his running be unique to him. All this read option offense will do is keep Cam as an average passer. At least Chud is getting his head back on straight, and cut down the usage of the read option. Yet yall want to embrace it fully. I don't understand it one bit.

At this time, I have no confidence Chip would run anything different than what he did at Oregon. Sure, he may add some things, but the bread and butter is that Oregon offense we've seen for the past couple of years. I'm not willing to take that chance at all.

Top 3 YPP Offenses in the NFL right now ?

Niners, Seattle, Panthers.

Read option is a big part of that.

It's not the devil we have made it out to be.

It just has to be balanced with under center plays as well.

Kelly isn't so fugtard stupid he would run it every play.

Don't tell PFFL that.

(but actually we are 25th in YPP I think)

He wouldnt run exactly what he runs now, he knows it wouldnt work, he's not an idiot. Will there be elements of it? Sure, but he will adapt it to how it needs to be at the next level.

why would anyone think that Chip Kelly would run "the same" offense in the NFL as college?

He hasn't even really run "the same" offense in college every year. The guy has been great at adapting to the skill of his players and what his opponents are doing, even within a game. That's why it is so hard to shut the Ducks down for 4 quarters.
