You need to lessen the importance of the rush since most QBs do not. It's skewed for a certain player.

It's only counted as part of total yardage and total TDs, and not treated differently otherwise. If it was weighted at all Tom Brady would not be at the top of the season QBA.

I just noticed that my database had sack yardage entered as negatives, but I was subtracting them in the calculation. Therefore, it was ADDING sack yardage to the QB's total yardage. That's now fixed, and now the correlation between QBA and wins is even higher at 79%. Peyton Manning also takes over the top spot for the season (Matt Moore's lone game excluded.)

Is it fair to remove rushing? The signal caller makes the decision after all. Better to get some yardage than throw the ball away.

Perhaps the case of a 1st down conversion for rushes >= 5 yards would be a significant action by the qb.
