Def apparent we will be drafting in a different spot than I first imagined.

1st Round: OG Chance Warmack 6'2 322 Alabama

I think we got another year or two out of Gross. Warmack is a beast and will shore up one of our guard spots for years to come.

2nd Round: WR Cordarrelle Patterson 6'3 205 Tenn

This guy is one of the most explosive playmakers I have ever seen. Still needs alil work on his routes and hands tho. Would be fine with Da Rick Rodgers here as well.

4th Round: OT Ricky Wagner 6'6 318 Wisconsin

Earned all Big Ten First Team honors. Still has room for improvement

5th Round: DT Montori Hughes 6'3 330 Tennessee Martin

My sleeper pick. Signed with Tennessee and was a standout with high expectations but was dismissed from the team in 09.

6th Round: FS Rashard Hall 6'1 210 Clemson

Been up and down at Clemson. Athletic and has potential. Just needs some proper coaching imo

I do like the players in the first two picks, but I don't like the combination. I don't like not addressing DT until the 5th with a guy that was apparently dismissed from his school 4 years before the draft. I don't know anything about the guy, so I'm not saying he's a bad player I'm saying the position that is most critical to hit out of the park in this draft is DT, in my opinion. And not some ~290 lbs guy that will be splitting reps with D. Edwards. We need someone to take R. Edwards' spot sooner rather than later.

there isnt a DT worth taking in the range we will be picking. on top of that our oline is horrible. warmack is a sure fire starter that will instantly help our oline.

DT are never a guarantee to hit out the park. even picking in the top 5. Only DT id take in this draft in the first is Star.

Hughes played at Tenn Martin and is a stud. Only thing is he fell off the radar at a smaller school and has some character concerns.

I can see him easily being able to hold the point of attack on the line.

We have potential starters with every pick in this mock imo.

I don't know what Gross has to do with Warmack in you OP, but I'm a big fan of him in the 1st if we end up picking outside of the Top 10. Supposedly the best guard prospect in a decade or something like that? Sign me up for a perennial Pro-Bowler on the OL. I like the 1st/2nd round combo there a lot potentially, according to what we do in FA.

Simple. We could either go OT or OG in the first. Since I think Gross still has some years left OG is a bigger need right now imo.

And your right I think Warmack will be perennial pro bowl OG. dude is a straight beast on the line.

In an interview with the Knoxville News Sentinel, Tennessee head coach Butch Jones revealed that junior wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson is “definitely going to the NFL” based on his discussions with the star receiver. Patterson has yet to confirm or deny Jones' comments.

    • First of all Sooners fan? Mods? Second if you think someone needs a specific reason to hate Texas you don’t watch real college football.
    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
