Players haven't quit on "Their Coach"

It was never clear whether those statements alluded to coaches or players.

In the immediate context, I remember thinking he was calling out Godfrey and Martin.

My mistake it was not a tweet, appears it was a comment to a reporter on the morning of the firing.

"I didn’t know the GM coached,' Johnson said. "Whenever the GM start coaching and all that? If they’re blaming it on him then I guess he’ll just take the fall for it.

"It is what it is. I just thought it was bad timing."

Seems pretty cut and dry to me. Where does he mention players?

In those comments, he doesn't. Based on more recent comments though I'd say he's changed his tune.

Still haven't seen anything from an offensive player.

No the last two consecutive wins occured last year in December, against Houston and Tampa Bay.

Still embarrassing, nonetheless.

oh yeah...at the end of the season when it was just for a little bit of pride.

winning's better than losing, but couldn't we find a way to do it more and earlier in the season?

All the more reason to retain Rivera for another season right? Beane as GM would be the icing on the cake!
