Projection-the defense mechanism where you ascribe to other people traits that you possess.

Show me where I said those words exactly. I didn't. When you can't quote me you just make it up.

As for the rest,

And now Cam's runs are better because RGIIIs quarterback rating is higher? And there is a running aspect to the QBR??? And Cam's runs are better even though they have similar long runs and Griffin is averaging almost a yard more per run and accounts for more first downs????

Honestly there was a reason I stopped posting here and this thread is a primary example. Not only is it hard to have a meaningful football conversation here, but posters want to win an argument so badly they make up their own conversations ascribing things to posters they never said trying to exxagerate the stances in an attempt to convince others they are right.

Reminds me of the just completed political debates. Maybe we need one of those truth in reporting segments so it i clear that what was just said was made up.......

lol...

Yes, in ESPN's new QBR their is a rushing component....

Cam Newton Run EPA - 22.2 (1st like last year)

RGIIII Run EPA - 7.9 (10th)

So again, even though it is a flawed stat....there is a reason for that huge gap. Cam runs better. More impact. RGIII has stats.

If you have watched their careers (pro and college), there is no debate who is the better runner....Cam uses his legs better in all aspects. RGIII is not a comparable runner bc of his ypc.

As for the projection part....it ain't worth continuing that argument with you. You still want to argue paying Double Trouble was smart. No way I have a prayer in convincing you that you spin arguments.

And no not every first rounder is ready to start day 1. Did you see Jake Locker last night? He isn't ready and it is year 2. Overgeneralizations always get you into trouble.

Jake Locker sucks and shouldn't have been a first rounder. Unfortunately the Titans draft like Marty Hurney and are not a credible source.

So lets go over your victories here. You said Beason was hurt all preseason with a hamstring injury that magically disappeared by week 1 where he had 10 tackles. And he wasn't taking it easy??? The 80% he said when asked how he was doing back in June. He said in week 3 of the preseason that he would only play a few series if he was 100%, First of all how much do starters play in preseason to begin with?? of the preseason that he would only play a few series if he was 100%, First of all how much do starters play in preseason to begin with?? A few series except for game 3 ?? How much did Davis play? One or two series in game three. So what does that prove? That Beason was hurt and shouldn't play or that they were being cautious and gearing toward opening day when he was apparently 100%.

As for instincts here is an article saying that natural instincts are a myth, They are derived from classical conditioning and operant conditioning. Substitute repetition and preparation.

http://tapzfootball....tball-athletes/

But no they are not natural but are learned. So no kuechly didn't have the natural ability to just excel in our defense, He is a quick study, outworks everyone and stayed long hours every day learning what he needed to know.

And as far as the many people on the RB situation it is the same folks arguing ad naueum about the same pet peeves. Hardly a knowledgeable or representative sample of this message board but those that have axes to grind.

P55- " He said in week 3 of the preseason that he would only play a few series if he was 100%, First of all how much do starters play in preseason to begin with?? "

Again you prove my point for me already. If Beason was 100% (which he wasn't) he would've gotten in. And plenty of starters play in the preseason. Whether its a quarter or a few series. They get reps. Again why are you arguing? Why does this bother you so much?? This is August we are talking about. Jesus Christ

Beason is on IR again. He had a hamstring issue in preseason. Get over it. Davis also had a calf issue during preseason. Get over it. I guess you think adrenaline isn't a factor and that guys can't play while they're hurting or not 100 when season starts. What are you arguing for? Beason is on IR again, and you want to have a pissing match about his health...get over yourself.

As far as your article...I guess Kuechly didn't develop his ability to play middle linebacker until he arrived in Charlotte. Forget the years of middle school and high school ball....haha your article is just a bunch of noise. Who caressssss? All I said is that things happen inside a players mind before the snap occurs. Again, why are you arguing????? Because its something you don't agree with and you got a really pathetic squidish boner over it. I don't need to argue with a non athlete over it. You don't get it.

You must have had a bad day yesterday and the only way to vent is to try and be a beast on the message forums.

Go to the gym instead man. Way more productive. Seriously...you go after people on here like its a hobby. Sad

Actually you are the one going back and forth and arguing bout August and declaring some great victory because you said he was hurt and I said they were resting him and being cautious.

And your comments about Kuechly show you don't have a clue. The fact that he was a beast in college meant he would be able to translate his work into the NFL given time and work. That didn't mean that he would be able to translate day 1 to run the whole show. I guess you the missed the interviews where he said that initially he was overthinking things and needed more reps and practice to where it would come automatically. That is how you translate things into instincts where you are prepared and practiced so that you do things on autopilot and use muscle memory What you can instincts but are better known as conditioning and repetition.

As far as being a non-athlete, speak for yourself, I played sports in high school, in college and since then. I still scuba dive, rock climb, rappel and play sports. I don't need a lecture from you about sports. I have also coached sports at several levels and understand how to coach "instincts" and evaluate talent and players.

And for what it is worth I don't need any psychological advice either, I do that professionally and don't need you to show where yet again you don't have a clue.

All you had to say is that it is a flawed stat. Any conclusion drawn from a flawed stat is by nature flawed in it's conclusion. As for who is a better runner, the stats that are meaningful and not flawed which include YPC, percentage of runs resulting in a first down, number of rushing TDs, number of 20+ yard runs all say they are equal.

So I don't know how you can say that Newton was much better except to use a flawed stat and your own opinion. If using facts and stats that are generally accepted and not flawed to argue my point against opinion and admitted flawed stats means I am spinning things, then I guess I am guilty as charged.
