Say what you will about Pat Y, but he has proven in the past to be right when it comes to "inside info." For instance, all last off season he said he kept "hearing" Kuechly would be the pick when everyone bashed him saying Pat is clueless because we have Beason, we all know how that happened. Well, check out this gem he posted today.

"Like I said above, I think there’s a decent chance Rivera keeps his job. I also think there’s a growing chance interim general manager Brandon Beane moves into that role on a permanent basis."

I like pat y and he is often more insightful than most of the national guys when it comes to the panthers but come on now It didn't take much to guess that the panthers were likely to draft a lb after the dreadful linebacking play last year. Nobody in their right mind would have bet on TD and Beason both coming back healthy this year.

Accorsi is just a consultant for JR's GM search, that's it. All he's doing is saying hey these candidates would work well for what your trying to accomplish and then JR takes it over from there. Not saying this is true, but if JR's already got the information from Accorsi and decided to go in a different direction is entirely plausible. Especially if Rivera wins out to get to 7-9 on the season. That would make the team 6-4 with Rivera and Beane guiding the team and making the decisions.

LMAO, soooooo everyone here that is in a uproar over the possibility of Beane is that way because he's from the Panthers and not some other team?

I couldn't give two rat poo's about who we picked as long as he ends up being the right guy in the end, and saying Beane would be lousy at the Job is as asinine as saying he would be great at the Job at this point no one on hear knew who he was till Marty Hurney got fired. as fans we just don't know if this is good or not and to pretend otherwise is hilarious.

what exactly has he done to prove he's not? he was a low profile Panthers FO guy till Hurney got fired, we basically know nothing of the guy at this point and anyone that claims otherwise I lol @.

As I said in my other post I don't really care who we get for GM, as long as he ends up being the right guy. and at this point it's anyones guess.

By the way, I read yesterday that you might be in favor of giving Rivera one more chance, well he will only get that chance under Beane. A new G.M. is more than likely going to want to hire a new staff.

I'm just surprised some other team hasn't already stolen Hurney's protege out from under us. The Panthers organization sets an example, a blueprint of excellence that most of the league looks to and quite frankly we'd be pretty stupid to try and bring in lesser talent from lesser organizations.

This would be a great, visionary move.
