Rivera will be back

Recommended Posts

For some reason these guys feel like if Rivera return he will just fire Chud. That's not going to happen, the only way Chud leaves is if Rivera gets fired or he lands a HC gig. If any team hire Chud for HC it would be ludicrous.

He could bring in Norv Turner.Anything is possible

Get Rivera out of here PLEASE. Records ARE the indicator of progression and he has NOT progressed. You can find plays, players and more excuses all you want, for every single game ever played, but Rivera has shown he cannot coach much more than he has shown any competence when it matters most. If JR keeps him it will be all season long... *shutters*.

Look at Belcheck's record over his first 2 years. Look at Fox in Denver...its amazing what role talent plays. Some here act you can drag in any talent and the head coach can automatically win.You have to look at the whole picture and at the end of the season would be the time to do it.

Rivera isnt even as good a coach as John Fox - this team is moving backwards.

Eh Fox's last season with us, he went 2-14...

Rivera went 6-10 his first season, and has a chance to go 7-9. That would be improvement.

I'm not a fan of bringing back Rivera by any means, but I can't stand users that think we'd still be going places with Fox. He was very fortunate to land that job in Denver. I honestly think I could coach that team just as well as him.

Cam vs. Clausen ... lol

I don't see improvements, I saw the same problems. Rivera staying wouldnt be the end of the world if JR put him on a short leash but that isn't like JR so I'd rather try someone new.

By making him learn a new system just as he's hitting his stride?

How would that be a positive?

Because Chud's system has definitely worked against elite teams...

Our leading rusher is our QB...We have had games where we scored 10, 7, 12, 14 (twice), 21 (twice). That is essentially 7 guaranteed losses in the NFL unless you are playing an equally inept offense which doesn't happen in the NFC nowadays. You cannot have crap games and expect to get to the playoffs.

IMO we have played 3 impressive games all season and two of them came against two teams that probably aren't going to the playoffs (Skins and Chargers).

So you can be fooled all you want to into thinking that the Chud/Rivera staff is a good coaching staff but they aren't. They come from a culture of losers (San Diego and Cleveland). Rivera has NO CLUE what the hell he is doing as a HC and I have thought so since about midway through last year. The guy CAN'T coach against the best in this league and that's what you have to do to win on a consistent basis.

Having Cam learn a new system is not the end of the world. He did pretty well last year after having no training camp and is still playing well this year. This is not a Cam Newton problem. This is a Ron Rivera/Rod Chudzinski problem and if we want to win they have to go.

I have mixed feelings on Rivera returning. I'd like to think he's learning from his mistakes. If they blow out every team from here on out, I guess that would be enough for me to change my mind.

This is exactly how I feel as well, especially thinking last year in the last quarter I thought they turned the corner.
