How many more players do we need to make a playoff run?

of course they need a couple of players which is obvious but i still think certain play calling in the 4th and time management has been a major concern for the panthers.

you probably backing rivera after these last wins and if he wins out....... but they should of did that earlier.

you could also make the case THAT THE CURRENT PLAYERS need to improve then u dont have those mishaps and dont need that many players to make a playoff run.

We need a lot, considering a third of our team finishes every season on injured reserve.

Keep in mind this is partly due to the fact we aren't in the running for the post-season.

Let's say we get a starter injured week 10, and his injury typically has a 6 week recovery period. Rather than keep him as part of the 53 and have him available for the playoffs, we put him on the shelf and it gives us a chance to get a look at some younger guys. A number of guys on IR now wouldn't be on it if we had been in the running.

The same thing happened last year.

I am not a Rivera homer and agree with the your concerns.Having said that, he has improved the defense and I think the verdict is still out on his ability to put it all together.I do not understand his decisions the first half of the season but feel many of his short falls can be corrected. The team appears to support him.I say let watch the remainder of the season and see if he is correcting his mistakes.A loss to Oakland may seal his fate.

As it relates to talent I feel if we absolutely must upgrade our OG and FS and need a NT,OT, and a consistent target of Cam. I just do not feel LaFell gets the separation to get open enough.
