I kinda like being able to trust that Accorsi will do everything in his power to make sure what ever decisions he may make will be made only after doing his due diligents. He has no ties which may hinder him, he is going to make the best choice he can to put this franchise on the right track.

If JR really wants to change coaches, Accorsi would probably be intrusted with that decision. Even if that meant getting a coach before a GM. That may, or may not, sway a GM from coming here. If you feel you have the right coach you want your GM on board with that.

Exploring all posibilities before making a decision can be the right move. The downside is that it is a time consuming job. We are not behind the eight ball yet. But we cannot take forever to make the decision. New GM, new coach, or not, or whatever we do. I just don't want it to take forever. I cannot wait that long.

I am in the group that believes that we will move on a GM first and then worry about a head coach unless Rivera is awful the rest of the way. JR wants a winner sooner than later but isn't going to rush things and botch them up. Unless he believes he knows more what to do than the GM he hires at which point he might as well keep Beane.

I disagree. I think the Accorsi is here to help with the GM search and that's it. Maybe he'll consult with the next GM on the coaching decision and maybe not. But, I fully expect the next GM to make the decision on the coach. Any GM candidate worth hiring would balk about not being the one to have the final decision on the coach.

I just happen to believe that if JR and Accorsi truly believe that the coach to take Cam and the Panthers to the Promised Land is available. They very well could pull the trigger. That may limit the GM pool. But you need a GM that is on board for your plan anyway. I don't think it would hinder your search much, if any, to already have a coach in play.

If you have a plan. You find people that can make that plan a reality. It shouldn't matter what pieces you already have in place.

Just like I don't believe that a new GM will automatically fire Rivera. If you think Rivera can execute the plan, he should stay. If you don't think he can fulfill the plan, he should go. Me personally, I have seen the growth. I would keep everythiing in place. But that is just me.

yes. it is being used and it is successful.

the pats went to him about how to run a no huddle hurry up offense and they are now using it very successfully.

teams are using spread offenses quite well and he's not locked into the read option. he uses it because it works with the personnel he has, the limited time he has with his players, and against the opponents they play against.

many teams are using concepts of his already...they are trying to imitate or at least incorporate what he does on offense and in regards to game management. he's the real deal, tho.

Well rayzor, i do believe you just sold me on Chip. good job
