We will be picking between 9 and 14

“Let me say this: I think there’s a time that in the era that you’re in and the development of your team, there’s a time when you can move up a round to take a quarterback,” Nix said on WGR, unsolicited (via Tim Graham of the Buffalo News). “And I think the time’s now for us.

Of course, they could be picking right around the same area as us so we wouldn't make a logical trade up partner, but at least someone might be looking to trade up...

I have said 8-12 for sometime. Don't completely move away from the trade scenario. I suspect there will not be a QB taken in the top 5. I suspect between 6-15 is where Geno and Barkely will go. Someone might want to move up for one of those guys. All depends on who is picking after us. Everyone knows we are not going after a QB

Top 15 way too high for Williams at this point in time...

No way, after the national championship and the combine, Jesse will emerge as the #2 DT prospect, and the #1 NT prospect. I guarantee it.

My top 5 guys for the 6-14 range are,

1. Milliner DB

2. Williams DL

3. Jordan DE

4. Warmack OG

5. Allen WR

I think Geno Smith is all but a lock for first pick.

I REALLY like Warmack, but I'm not a fan of drafting a G that high. C or LT? Sure.

DT is my top concern, but this class has good depth at DT so I wouldn't hate addressing it later and we also have three weeks to evaluate what we have in Kearse, who played very well last week.

FS is my next biggest concern an I really want to see how Godfrey plays there with Campbell at the SS spot. My ideal solution would be to snag Byrd or Goldson in FA. I wish Martin had the brains to play the spot, because he certainly has all the physical tools.

RG is a big need, but I'd really be comfortable addressing it with a mid level FA.

WR is our other big need and it really irks me that we can't get a look at Gettis. I like AE and admire his effort, but I just don't see him as a successful WR. Murphy's hands are way too inconsistent for a guy who has this much time in the league. I want to get a look at Gettis, Adams, Green and Bryant- however, replacing Smith has to be a priority.

Hopefully we dont fall that far. I would like to have a 7 pick then trade back to the 14 spot to grab a LT or DT which this draft is filled with and then get another 2nd rounder to nab a WR and a CB. Just wishful thinking though. We dont have a 3rd if im correct right?

I feel Williams is a great prospect for a NT but do you spend a high pick top 10 pick on a NT?I am sure many can explain this better than myself but would the UT be considered the more sought out position or do you go after someone who can do both ? I thought D Edwards did a great job this year at UT but I think he is a UFA. I also like where we bring Hardy at DT on passing downs. The NT was REdwards who is older and has been injured but has one more year under contract. Is there someone that could fill both positions? I have no faith that Fuah will ever develop.

Which wr do you see as our future number 1 wr?

From what I've read both these guys can play both the 0 and the 3. I don't know if UT has more value than NT. D Edwards is here on a two year deal and as the UT he's taken in quite a few double teams, even when Ron was in with him. I personally have more interest in Star, but doubt we'll have a shot at him without losing out.
