On a side-note, I don't think Kitty City or whatever should be perma banned. Yes the J word was bad, but he was making a legitimate point about Stephen Smith. Give him a stern warning and keep an eye on him. It really doesn't sound like he's a flaming racist here to troll the hell out of us.

:phew: Really?

I don't know why this is an issue that needs to be brought up now. I think we all acknowledged pre-draft that RG3 was black, but his upbringing and what defines him as a person is not "urban" and was a big part in why he didn't face nearly the same scrutiny as Cam coming out of college (Cam also had the pay for play allegations and took a fat dump on the strongest division of college football with the most batshit crazy fans in the country - this didn't help him).

Urban should have been the term used in this argument. In poor inner cities you see white people, indian people, jews, people of all races and ethnicity who speak with slang and dress the way that is currently declared "black". This has been an ongoing issue within black communities since their civil rights protests in the '60s, whether they should accept the wholesome standard American lifestyle with an emphasis on education and working in a career, or if they should reject that and push city life. Most black athlete's come from an urban lifestyle and sometimes they carry some of it into their professional careers.

One big difference between RG3 and Cam is this urban life. Cam has experienced it (and i'm NOT saying he condones it in any way) and while whether or not he ever participated in it is up for debate, he has certainly been exposed to this culture. Let's face it, kids playing schoolyard ball in Detroit are going to look up to Cam more than they are to RG3. You can sense this in Cam by the way he talks and carries himself, but I think he does it in a good way. He shows kids that they can overcome this cycle of poverty and violence with hard work. RG3 hasn't tasted this culture. He spent little of his childhood in America and is from a strict military background. He doesn't know a thing about the different temptations of inner city life that keep many degenerates trapped, preventing them from ever having a sustainable career.

Actually, the only real difference between Cam and Rg III is how they are portrayed by our media and their college educations. One is strongly being stereotyped with all kinds of racial innuendos because college may not have been for him and the other is made to appear more safe and acceptable because he has an impresive college background. It also seems Cam's confidence and success has cause many to hate him.

But in all honesty, Cam was raised by a mother and a father. His brother is a college graduate and so is his father. Cam came from a football lineage just like Luck. And even thou Cam's neighbor isn't like RG III's, he never got into any kind of trouble so he wasn't part of the "hood." He seemed to wait until he got in college to act stupid. Which means he could have been suffering from being away from parent itist. Some kids are like that when they go away to college.

And when it comes to the whole Pay for Play nonsense, the later part of your statement seemed to have been the REAL driving force behind the bogus made for tv scandal. Them UA folks are CRAZY. Expecially when you stop to realize that almost eveyone involved with trying to paint Cam's father as the intiator had some kind of UA ties. Even down to the MSU Agent himself.

I have to be honest and say I can see more of race playing a role now that we have Cam as a QB, whether its fair or not. What helped do Cam in was the character issues which he created. The "entertainer and icon" comment wasn't a real smart comment either.

To my knowledge both Bob and Russ were squeaky clean from a character standpoint.

Also, Cam put a lot of detractors to shame last year with his play and now that he's shown some signs of being human, and immature at some points, they have a chance to save face.

Ultimately, Cam will have the last laugh. I'd invite all these dicks to see his bust unveiled in Canton.

I believe the real test for RG III (and his fans/the media) will come, whenever he has a bad season. Will people start using "code words" to try and point to his skin color? Nobody knows, but Cam has experienced it here after a few bad games.

People started questioning his body language, every single word in interviews, ...

here's my impression of a sports radio transcript (you can pretty much fill in Max Kellerman's voice or Steven A. Smith's saying this):

MARK SANCHEZ. Franchise QB?

He threw 3 interceptions last night against the Chiefs. 3 interceptions. 3 picks. One returned for touchdown. Held on to the ball too long for a sack. Fumbled the ball in the 2nd quarter in 2 minute drill. Four turnovers!***(btw I'm just describing an average Mark Sanchez performance here)***

Mark Sanchez. Franchise QB?

How can you call him..... a franchise QB?

He threw 3 interceptions last night! Against the Chiefs. He fumbled the ball. Took a sack when he didn't need to. And you're going to call him a franchise QB? He fumbled the ball, lost possession. They were playing the Chiefs. So if we were to call him a franchise QB, what does that mean? Does that mean all franchise QBs ....throw 3 interceptions, fumble the ball with less than two minutes before the half, and take a sack because they held on to the ball too long while playing the Chiefs? What do we call Peyton Manning then? If franchise QBs take sacks when they don't need to, THROW 3 INTERCEPTIONS, FUMBLE THE BALL IN TWO MINUTE DRILL BEFORE THE HALF, TAKE SACKS BECAUSE THEY HOLD ON TO THE BALL TOO LONG, how do we classify Peyton Manning? Ok before I go on with this, I need to do a live read of our sponsor.

IF you are driving and it's your lunch hour, be sure to go to CARL'S JR and get yourself a nice bacon angus monstrosity burger and you'll get to combo that with a french fries and a drink of your choice. Only for a limited time so go and get that done as soon as humanly possible.

Ok so back to Mark Sanchez last night. Let's take a call now. You're on line 1 caller.

Hey it's Herp from Derpville, um I just wanted to point out this really good throw Sanchez made to Stephen Hill in the third quarter that showed flashes of greatness from Mark

But Herp, listen to this for a second, he threw three interceptions. Fumbled the ball. Took a sack, a drive killer at one point.

listen i think despite the rest of the performance, you know Kansas City's a good defense and...

But but dude he threw three interceptions, fumbled the ball. Took a sack, against the Chiefs. The Chiefs are not a good team. NOT. and he threw three interceptions against them. He fumbled the ball. He took a sack.

alright I get your point

Thanks for the call Herp. Now let's go to break and when I come back I'll repeat the same sentences over and over about this or a different subject.

I think RG3 is a cornball, but I also think Cam is corny at times with all the swag/Ace Boogie stuff. I don't know what in the hell Rob Parker is talking about, though. As a black man, I have to act a certain way to be black? What determines your level of blackness? Eh, Rob Parker should've kept his opinion to himself.
