Why is everyone jumping on the Rivera Bandwagon?

Think about this for a second. If Cam didnt fumble in the Falcons game, thats a Win. If on 3rd and 9 during the Bucs game, if Cam ran one more yard with 58 seconds left, that game never goes to OT and we win. If Steve Smith didnt slip against the Bears, thats another win, which in turn puts us at 7-6 right now WITH one of the hardest schedules in the league.

Considering all that, and IF we run the table and finish 7-9, I say give him one more year. But if we lose one more game this season, Just one and go 6-10 or worse, fire him no questions asked

3 games in garbage time left against garbage teams and you fools want to wait to make a decision about Rivera ? Even the falcunts wasnt much of a win when you look at it objectively. Theyre a weak ass team that will be one and done come the playoffs.

For everyone raging about these topics and personally attacking those with a differing opinion, remember one thing.

None of our opinions matter at ALL.

Not completely true. While my opinion alone doesn't make a difference, the general opinions of fans are made clear by not showing up at the games. Most of the games are technically a sellout or close to it, but all those empty seats mean less stuff being sold, less food bought, less parking etc... That kind of thing will weigh on the owner eventually.

So you putting ATL loss on Cam more than Rivera having Naka as S over Martin?

You putting Chi loss on Steve slipping more than our defense giving 15 yards cushion against their offense, letting the same play happen over and over again all the way down the field?

Grass is always greener on the other side...

I still want to see more. No point in forming a strong opinion either way right now.

Over the past 2 seasons....no team has lost more games by a single score. Getting blown out all the time would be more a talent issue. Consistantly getting beat at game you can win is coaching

My wanting to see Rivera and company for another season isn't in defense of his past failures. More in support of his ability to us in a position to win games, the fact that he's already built up the depth chart, a desire for continuity, the fact that two seasons in a row now we've been damn near unstoppable down the stretch, the simple fact that he was a new head coach and some growing pains were expected (especially with the expectations we had to endure this season), the fact that Cam, Luke, and other young guys are playing so damn good right now. And the fact that the team hasn't given up on him. With all that said there are still more games to play this season and I'd rather wait till the end to reassess.
