Remember the dolphins? No thanks!

remember when the dolphins had cam newton or smitty or olsen or kuechly? yeah neither did i. the dolphins didnt have what we have now. They most importantly didnt have a experienced or skilled qb like newton. What is the most important thing a NFL team needs to win? a QB. He's not my first choice either and hed probably go Clevland but while we are looking for a HC to hopefully win us a Superbowl because that is the ultimate goal this is a thing that we should be looking at every single option and leave nothing on the table

Living in Alabama I'd love it for the sole purpose of pissing off all the Tide fans.

But realistically heck no.

Dude's way of handling the players just doesn't work in the NFL, and Lombardi is like the Jon Gruden of GM's so heck no to that too.

Ditto. I'd sit next to my radio 24/7 with my chin propped on my fist and a permanent smile as talk radio went on about him leaving to coach Cam Newton.

With BCS championship approaching there are talks of Saban jumping ship of Bama because the whole 24/7 crimson tide feel it gets to be over bearing. He has said that if he goes to the NFL he only wants to work with Michael Lombardi.

So with all that said, what are your thoughts on a Lombardi GM with Saban as HC. He would bring back out our strength at the running game, our defense would be ultilized, the only thing is i dont know how well he'd gel with Cam in terms his progression and using him in the best way possible. Just a thought and I would like to know what you guys think.

Problem is...................... we have a HC

Mr. Saban is free to coach anywhere else his little heart desires.

PS...........he ain't leaving Bama (not in a million years)

I read an article about how when Jim Fassel was let go by the Giants, Saban was on top of the list of candidates for Accorsi when he was GM. If Accorsi is indeed evaluating the team from head to toe and Rivera is let go, I would not be surprised if Saban would be recommended by Accorsi to Richardson and the new GM.

We wont have one by the end of this season.

And if he wins against ND which is looking highly possible i believe he'll leave Bama. His wife has even alluded to the wins feeling as good and the pressure from the fanbase to never lose and win championships every year is alittle over baring.

The report is that Saban would only return to the Browns and only if Michael Lombardi joined the team as a GM.

the report is he would only work with Lombardi and he is the clear favor to go to the browns. but since currently Lombardi doesnt work for the browns i made a thread on how the fans would feel about this combo. It has been an overwhelming negative response for the Saban case. He isnt even my first choice but we should atleast be doing due diligence on were we are going for the next 5-10 years as a franchise. I dont believe we should leave any stone unturned is all im saying
