Cleveland Black Pearl Sand Wedge

My house is at Brick Landing, but I haven't played the course since it reopened and don't really care for it that much. Rather play RIvers Edge in Shallotte, or Oyster Bay in Sunset.

Last time I played the Brick was in 2010 and it was a goat farm... it had reportedly been purchased by new owners, so idk if it's better now or not. The layout is fine, but it was in horrible shape then...

Rivers Edge is nice, but frankly it's too hard to be fun for me. I don't mind a challenge, but damn, that place is tough.

Never played Oyster Bay that I can recall. My favorite down that way is Crow Creek and Farmstead is nice too... Thistle is nice but also hard. Sea Trail is just ok, and Sand Piper Bay is nothing special, but I kinda like it...

I have not hit a Rocketballz driver or 3 Wood... would like to, just haven't got the chance.

I got those new irons last year and those are the only "new" clubs I've ever bought. My dad, whom I affectionately refer to as "the golf pimp" has a serious addiction to buying golf clubs, so usually I try out and swipe his extras that are usually used...

First irons I had bought since 1988. I had been playing with a set of Ping Eye 2's for 24 years. I still hit them ol clubs good but the 2.0's are the stuff. I'm hitting it like I'm 25 again. Bought a new set of irons then I just could'nt stop. New Driver, new 60 degree Vokey, new bag. I had just bought a new putter and some new hybrids last year or I would have been in the market for them also. 3 woods next year. prices coming down on all the Rocketballz clubs. You need to try the 3 wood before buying anything else they pretty sweet.

The R11s is probably the hottest driver right now that I have hit, but I think it's worth the time and money to have that thing fitted professionally. Just too many variables to change on that club, you could spend months at the range trying to get it dialed in perfectly.

The Rocketballz on the other just has a hosel adjustment. I like my Rocketballz driver, lot more consistent distances even on mishits.

I got back into playing more often this year , and figured it was time for some major upgrades

Oh yeah bout forgot bought a GPS also

I would love to have an R11 or Rocketballz driver, but I can't justify the money on a new one... I got this Superfast driver used for $150 and I love it. I hear you about the irons... I had played some DCI's since about 1996 that my dad gave me and I got these Burner 2.0 irons last fall... immediate improvement in my game, the ball just blasts off the face of these irons.

I got a brand new Rocketballz driver for $170 to the door, off of ebay in October. I would rather had the R11s but they were still over 3 bills and I couldn't see that at the time

I saw the Rocketballz advertised last week on TV for $199 can't remember where though had to be Dick's or Sports Authority. Prices coming down they'll be $149 by next spring

BL has had 3 owners in the last 5 years. The current owner is Larry Doyle. He's a NY investment baker who also owns Olde Point Golf & CC in Hampstead. The Brick has improved by leaps and bounds since he took over. It had been sitting idle and the previous owner just came in and padlocked everything one day. http://www.bricklandinggc.com/

Love Thistle; last time I played Crow Creek it was a couple days after Christmas, cold as hell with a 20 wind blowing....; Farmstead is okay. Sea Trails runs that special where you can play 3 rounds for $99, which isn't bad, but the quality of those courses has nose-dived in the past 5 years. Oyster Bay is right down the road past Sea Trails on the ICW, gorgeous and tough.

I like to stay up that way and play. Far as I'm concerned I can have as much fun there without having to drive all the way to Myrtle... and I hate driving down there.

The PGA show is in January-February when all the new toys, gear and equipment are unveiled. All the new stuff hits the stores by March, which means all the other stuff will be on sale to make room for the new debuts.
