Offensive Line depth

I just saw the Lions cut George Foster http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4221570

I love our starting line but I am a little worried about our backups. As last yr proved good backups and extremly valuable. I'm not sure if Foster would be willing to be a backup he wa very good with the Broncos but has been in football misery with the Lions the past few yrs.

If we could get him I would be very happy, but who else might we be able to add for depth on the Oline?

I agree with you about our depth, but Foster has been an underchiever for most of his career, and if the Lions (of all teams) cut him, then I doubt if he'd help us here much. So I'd say "no",

You should be. A very good and versatile lineman...

Meh, I'm all about depth, but picking up a lineman that Detroit let go is pretty shaky for me...

Yeah, will be interesting to see where he will play though, we drafted wood to play C but Im thinking he will start at G.

I'm just hoping the Panthers can get through TC and the first month or so of the season without any of the starting 5 missing time. After that, I believe Magazu will have the back ups trained up and ready to go. Of course, I would much rather see the starting 5 make it through the entire season so we don't have to worry about it at all, but we just don't seem to have that kind of luck for some reason.

yep, that's my only concern with how this year is going to go. No problems, big wins.

Hell no, he wouldn't even be worth the veteran minimum that would be required to be paid. With our ability to rotate Wharton if a tackle goes down and having picked Robinson should provide us with good enough depth. Now if we lose Kalil that's where I'm worried, or we lose more than two players for a game which is very possible.
