It would be a different scenario with Chud gone and a new GM. I wouldn't be completely against a third year for Rivera, as long as there isn't a significantly better option. If we could get a better coach, send his ass off, if we don't know of the new coach would be any better, keep him for one more year.

Ask yourself this question, even if the teams were equal in talent, do you believe Rivera can beat the Harbaughs, the Coughlins, the Tomlins, the bellinchik's.

If the answer is 'no', then that is the answer.
