If he goes undrafted, I could see us picking him up.. he being from the Carolina area, and with us most likely releasing DWill's contract, I think Lattimore might see a good opportunity here. Of course, he will most likely be worthless next season after a complete reconstruction of his knee.. but he has potential. I remember Willis McGahee having the same injury in college, and he had a great career thus far.

That's also a good point. I suppose it will have a lot to do with how each teams set of trainers believe his recovery and rehab is going, before assigning a final grade.

Yeah, but we have to remember Lattimore was coming off a major knee injury before the injury to the other one this year. So that is two bad knees he will be running on, and his style of play is physical running. I don't know if many teams will be willing to draft him early.

he was projected to be #1, at worst #2 RB off the board this season, and he undoubtedly possesses elite talent at the position, when healthy. I'd say a 4th or later pick on a guy like that is totally worth it, but not for the Panthers. If we draft a running back, I will probably find a little animal or baby to punch in the throat.

I wonder who gave him this advice to go the NFL Draft. I guess the coaches/doctors/training staff must have felt that he wouldn't play much next year, if any, and maybe he decided just to go ahead and get that money.

I don't see him going any higher that 4th/5th.

Of course I'm not saying we should draft him. I'm just a South Carolina fan who's interested in Lattimore's career. If he went undrafted, sure let's bring him in.
