But every team seems to have a shortened nickname that the crowd can easily chant... And for over a decade I've been trying to think of something that would catch on... But there's nothing ! The Pants? Go Pants Go?

We aren't known as a city for anything nationally other that banking and corporate headquarters. So it would be hard to nickname ourselves. It takes history to develop that kind of thing. Eg: motor city kitties, Bronx bombers, dirty birds, G-men, etc. we can't give ourselves a name.
