Star,Luke or Hankins?

Star in the first and Fluker in the second wouldn't be bad. All depends on what you think is the bigger need between OL or DL. Will be interesting to see what the new GM thinks.

DL is a bigger issue than OL definetely going into next season. Ron will be older and coming off two consecutive injuries.

OL is a problem but really it's RG who is the problem, not OT.

I rather have a Vet who has experience blocking for Cam than a rookie. Tell me how many rookie OL made immediate impact. We saw Amini struggle this year. I don't want another rookie OL having to go through a learning developing process blocking for Cam.

On top of my head

Kalil, Pouncey, Okung, Long, Clady, Thomas etc..

In fact many rookie LTs drafted high succeed right out the gate. On the other hand, good LTs are never reach FA. Drafting good DT is a much harder thing to do and you can actually find some quality in FA

With that said, we will be out of reach to draft Luke. So if its between OT and DT I am guessing DT.

True but Kalil and Pouncey are Centers. Centers and OGs have better success as a rookie than do OT imo.

Okung and Long struggled a bit their rookie year. Thomas, Clady and our very own Otah had success starting as true rookies. But just look at last year class of OTs. Everyone struggled as a rookie. Tyron, Solder, and Carimi struggled. Castonzo and Carpenter played okay.

I'm not taking anything away from them. I'm just saying its still hard to find a true rookie to come in and start for you. I just rather have a vet blocking for Cam.

Dwan Edwards will be 32 at the start of next season, I think people overlook this when talking about him staying long term.

Exactly. Dwan has been a bright spot but he's an older man also. And Ron is definitely old. DT has been our weakest spot since Jenkins left and really at some point we have to address it. This is the year to do it with Star and Hankins. If we don't take care of this position now, going into next season our DT position is going to be a mess.

Who has Keenan Allen rated that high?

the guys at CBS have him going to the Dolphins at 13, and most sites have him as the #1 WR.

here is a blurb from Rob Rang's big board

9. *Keenan Allen, WR, California: An exceptionally highly-regarded prep prospect who originally was going to sign with Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide as a safety before joining his brother (quarterback Zach Maynard) at Cal, Allen possesses virtually all of the physical characteristics to be a No. 1 receiver in the NFL. To earn a top 10 pick, however, he'll have to prove his health (he suffered a knee injury October 27) and straight-line speed. Allen announced on December 5 his intention to enter the 2013 draft.
