Why does Cam have to start clapping if he wants the ball to be snapped faster, yet no other quarterback in the league seems to have this problem?

Because that is how he calls for the ball when he wants it, you hear Eli always shouting "Omaha!" "Omaha!" that means he wants the ball snapped now.

he's not the only one doing that by any means. it happens quite often, esp. at away games.

it doesn't help that he doesn't have his regular center there. it takes time for the center and QB to gel.

it's not the special snowflake of a situation that you'd think. it's pretty common.

He claps out of shotgun and has a traditional snap count when under center.
