Cant we please just get blown out like bad teams do?

Seriously. Im tired of losing these close games and the whole week having to hear about the "last minute heroics"of the other team that beat us down the stretch. First it was with Matt Ryan and the Falcons game, all we saw or heard about was that deep bomb Matty Ryan threw in the final seconds. Then yesterday it was all about the great, clutch Brady Quinn and the emotional victory the Chiefs got over us. Look lets not kid ourselves. We wont beat the Falcons. Can we please just get blown out instead of keeping it close so we atleast dont have to endure another week of hero matt ryan replays in the final seconds? Yes, this is what it has come to. Atleast if we get blown out it will be boring and we wont hear about it in the media for a week.

Not until Fantasy season is over... I'za be needin dem points Bawss!!

Seriously though, I don't know what to think... It's bad when I don't have any emotion left for this years squad. I'm just numb and I now laugh at things that used to make me livid.

Part of me is glad we lost to KC... Because if we both end up with the same record, they win the tie breaker which gives us a better draft pick... Then again, like everyone else I want to see progress.

But yet again, look at what that "progress" did for us this year. Lots of high expectations and we all learned a very valuable lesson and won't make the same mistake going into next year. I'm almost resigned to tanking the rest of the year now... Just keep staying competitive and growing/learning and then losing games at the end... Hell, I don't even have to hope for it to happen, as they'll likely lose somehow anyways.

At the end of the season I plan on submitting a wall of text like no other explaining where the team is at, what it means going fwd, and so on and so forth... For now though, sadly... I'm resigned to feeling numb to it all

Your wish will be granted on Sunday, I'm afraid. It'll be over quick.

Doubt it. Probably kick their ass for 3.5 quarters then somehow give up 17 points to lose by 1 in the final 6 minutes.

Oh and it will be Cam's fault that the final two possesions of the Panthers offense not getting a first down and putting the game away because we ran 3 straight dives then punted on back to back drives.

I'd go hari kari for sure.

If we can keep them close, I feel it will do better for the emotions of the players that are still here and vested to WIN. Getting blown out constantly will leave an extremely sour taste not only in the fans mouth, but the players as well, and become discouraged even before next season starts.

If they can SEE there is something here to build on, they will continue to want to get better.

Constant heatbreak, I think to myself we might just win this one...and then 30 minutes later I'm in the corner of the room with my head in my heads just thinking about we let another slip away
