Neg rep creates more hate and discontent, along with people making alts just to go around dishing it out at random like a sniper.

this is why the old rep system worked better than the last one. someone with little rep could do little damage to the established posters.

any recommendations for the new rep system assuming this gets pushed through?

I like the idea of making an anonymous option again(although it also has potential for abuse).

Also it was too easy for someone to sneak by the system by establishing cred in the other subforums, ie. Grits and the lovely ladies section or the lounge

Perhaps you can only get positive rep in the sports talk forums

Obviously problems aren't addressed for months and years now and it negativley effects both members and Mods.

So may as well enpower the masses, bring back swag and the problems will be sent swiftly to Smack.
