Not saying that Luck is bad...but Indy has played a crap schedule...they have not even played the Texans yet...and probably wont have to becaue the Texans are primed to have the number one seed wrapped up.

The Colts will get exposed against NE or Texans or Ravens if they get to the playoffs. It is amazing how Indy gets the number one pick and gets a crap schedule and when we get the number one pick we get the hardest schedule last year.

Cam had one game-winning drive last year (Jacksonville.)

Also, on that topic, why do we never bring up all the last minute or second losses after the offense scored the go-ahead points? Like Atlanta this year, or the first Saints game last year, or the Tampa Bay game this year? The defense keeps killing Cam's clutch cred.

Or the Minny drive last season that Mare missed the Kick...etc. etc. etc. but don't worry. Cam can't close because he can block and kick field goals for himself or play defense.

Don't forget the Chicago game this year. After he had the pick six that Smitty fell down on, the next drive we drove down and took the lead with a field goal. Cam very easily could have several more "4th quarter comebacks" and "game winning drives" than he does but the defense hasn't held up their end of the bargain.

But Cam has also had several instances where we had the ball with a chance to regain the lead late in a game and has failed. I for one am not worried at this point. I think as he gains more experience and once his mind catches up to his ability, those things will take care of themselves. I'm not saying he isn't smart, just that he is still learning and eventually things that he is having to process mentally right now will eventually become second nature. Things Andrew Luck may have had a head start on because of his college offense. When THAT happens..... we really will have something special.

BTW, RG3 has exactly as many 4th quarter comebacks and game winning drives as Cam had last year. 1.

The truth is, in my humble opinion, Russell Wilson has been the best rookie QB by far and should win ROY. But he doesn't get the attention RG3 and Luck get.

Wilson has 7 wins including wins against Green Bay, New England, and Chicago.

Wilson also 3 fourth quarter come backs, and 3 game winning drives.

Their schedule has been pretty tough and Seattle is 7-5

Oh yeah, I am also a Tar Heel fan, so you know it is legit ;)

I'm going to say something that no one wants to hear...Cowherd is right. I talked about this with several people yesterday and Cam hasn't shown the ability to win games late when given a chance. It's easy for us to sit here and make excuses about the run defense, lafell's drop, or coaching, but Cam had a chance, down by 6 to lead a game winning drive. He failed. Which he has done over and over this year. Then I flip the switch and Luck does exactly what Cam couldn't...moved the ball, made perfect throws, kept his composure, and most importantly, he won. Can't argue that. Sorry.

Does that mean Cam isn't as good a QB? No. But it's something he has to improve on to take that next step to greatness.

Is that the only game Luck has played all season? Has Luck's QBR been crap all season.

Please don't think I am bashing Cam and get defensive, its just my opinion of when I have watched Luck he has been remarkable for a rookie, but I also know its a product of his upraising. Everyone has bad games, check Ryan at Arizona and Brees at Altanta.

Also I don;t blame Cam for the Panther's seasons failure, sure he was a bit off this year but Cam is young and will only get better.

Cam has a ypa of 8.3.

Luck has a ypa of 7.1.

Cam throws a TD pass every 25.4 attempts on average.

Luck throws a TD pass every 29.6 attempts on average.

Cam throws an interception every 35.5 attempts on average.

Luck throws an interception every 31.4 attempts on average.

Cam's completion percentage is 57.5%.

Luck's completion percentage is 55.5%.

Cam has rushed for 524 yards and 6 TDs.

Luck has rushed for 216 yards and 5 TDs.

Cam has 3 fumbles lost for the year.

Luck has 5 fumbles lost for the year.

The Carolina Panthers are 3-9.

The Indianapolis Colts are 8-4.

Wow, Cam is better in virtually every category, yet the Colts win more. GOSH I WONDER WHY?

RG3 is better than Wilson. People who say RG3 is captain checkdown don't watch Redskins games. Short passes is part of the offense, just as long passes are. I think some of us has been brainwashed by Chud into thinking deep passes should be the majority of throws.

Check out these RG3 stats

Passing 11+ Yards down-field

Comp% 60.9

TD-INT 9-2

Yds/game 99.3 (1st in NFL)

Yds/att 15.4 (1st in NFL)

He's also under- or overthrown his targets only 18.4 percent of the time, second-lowest in the league.

As I commented before, RG3 has been the best rookie, then Wilson, then Luck and Tannehil(who has faded.)

But it's not just Cam failing or Luck succeeding. For example, in our last real chance yesterday, one of our plays was a screen. It was executed perfectly by the QB and the back, but the defense anticipated the play and blew it up. That is not a failure by Cam. So how do you extrapolate from that and say that Cam hasn't gotten it done? It's a team thing, not an individual thing.

No doubt, and I think he will as he gains more experience. Also, his game winning drives and 4th quarter comebacks will increase when the defense hold up at the end of games as well or he just gets some lucky breaks.

There are little nuances to the QB position, especially in those situations that Cam is still learning.

I think his ability is way ahead of his mind right now in my opinion. And I don't mean that as an insult to Cam or to imply he isn't smart. Everyone knew when we drafted him that he was a little bit behind the learning curve.

But he is a smart guy, and he still has a lot to learn about playing the QB position. But I am convinced he has the work ethic to learn these things.

And as I said earlier, once the things he is having to think about become second nature, things that Luck may have learned in college, with Cam's natural ability, he is going to be special.

I just think people expected him to make that leap too soon.

I mentioned this earlier, how the hell do you not get scheduled to play a division opponent for the first time till week 13?? The scheduling over the past couple years has been bizarre. and it seems like it has favored everybody but us.

That's not possible. Every team plays 6 divisional games, so there is no way the first one could come in week 13.

Chuds playcalling has been horrible all season, i was literally begging at the tv screen to get out that shotgun formation on the second to last drive with 3 minutes left. We had time to work the ball all down the field and you make it painfully obvious to the defense to pin ears back and go get the QB when he is not under center and we rarely ever run any RB draw plays only read options. This hasnt been the offense at all we were running last year and its killed our season.McDermott, and Chud are position coaches at best. Rivera is not a head coach.
