Paul already signed a max extension, x-clown.

He is only signed for two more years. He has an optional year at his disrection. Rumors are already there that Paul might even be traded this offseason because of the financial state of the franchise. Don't think for a second that George Shinn wouldn't pull the trigger in a cost cutting move.

Shinn would not trade Paul for cost cutting measures. Those rumors are ridiculous and complete speculation by people. He knows the second he loses CP3 he loses all fan support. He would more likely trade away DWest, or even more likely our first round pick for money. I don't know why everyone thinks he would want to move the team out of new orleans so quickly considering how much fan support he has gotten here.

As an organization, I dislike the Falcons most. They're the only team in the NFL that I've ever been convinced had thrown a game. They're the only NFC South I know that allows players to berate, undermine, and physically push coaches. They tried to excuse and defend Michael Vick before he was put in the slammer. I feel equally disgusted by the behavior of Falcons fans that I've witnessed. It is personal, and I have anecdotes. They might as well be Oakland or the Cowboys. Can't f'king stand 'em.

To be honest, the other two organizations don't annoy me at all. I've met lots of Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans, and got along great with them. They were a class act, and their stadium is full of eye candy. I'm a little miffed at them for sacking Gruden before his time. That guys has a lot of energy, and I like him.

New Orleans is a team that fits the personality of their city perfectly. They love talent and personality there, but hard work...not so much. And it's why they don't win consistently, but when they do its glorious. Life to nawlins is about play, not work. The philosophy makes for great living and bad NFL teams. Gotta love 'em.

Maybe because he did the same thing in Charlotte, even though we led the league in attendance in the early years of the franchise? Even if he doesn't necessarily trade Paul, you're admitting he's willing to trade his supporting cast which will weaken the team that's around him - and I doubt that is going to help ticket sales or help Paul's morale in staying.

I hate the Saints......The city smells like a sewer, the French accent and the play on words like "Geaux Saints" is so flamboyantly gay - it turns my stomach. Brees looks like a total douchebag doing his little pep rally cheer before every game, Reggie Bush aka "Jesus in cleats" is completely over rated. Pierre Thomas is just as good for 1/10th the money but because he wasn't drafted as the "savior" he will always play behind Reggie, Jeremy Shockey is an embarrassment to rednecks everywhere. Any pro athlete who passes out at a party (in the DESERT) and taken out on a stretcher for "dehydration" is a complete moron. Basically the Saints suck balls and the media loves them because of the "names" on the team.

holy poo, this lol.

I am not denying that he won't make stupid decisions about the rest of the team. The only certain thing is that Chris Paul will stay in New Orleans until his contract is up. However, as a fan I hope to God that Shinn decides that he actually wants to win a championship and gets some good players around Paul.

EDIT: plus I thought the attendance plummeted the last few years in Charlotte. Correct me if I am wrong, but that was the perception I had.

The max contract I was talking about=money wise. Those CP3 trade rumors are also a joke, Shinn's sucess rides on Paul. And if he is such a cost cutter, why is the team over the luxury tax? You also fail to account for Shinn's minority owner that has deeper pockets than most in the league, and the support the team is getting from the fans and the New Orleans business community. The most sponsorships in franchise history + 11,000 season ticket holder and growing.

Yeah you're right your favorite team has never allowed its players to berate or physically attack coaches. I guess Kevin Greene was playing for someone else when he got in a fight with a coach on the sideline. Steve Smith on two different occasions attacking players on his own team once in the film room and once during practice. Your franchise player this offseason telling the media he can't succeed here because of the coaching scheme.

Kevin Greene, is that the freaky wrestling dude? I thought he only played for us for one year. If so, then we purged. Maybe I'm wrong.

Steve Smith is not a player that I defend, he's just our best and most expensive receiver. I honestly believe he'd be gone were his contract up, and were we not so financially strapped. The Panthers can't do any player transaction that involve money, and we gave him an extension prior to his fight. Smith is downright lucky for both, imho.

I'm also not proud of Rae Carruth. But he got his.

Peppers, meh. I don't blame Peppers for marketing himself. After that, the news took the story and speculated beyond our wildest dreams. 99% of what they imagined was garbage. I see nothing dishonorable about what he did, but I can't say the same for the media.

My reason for voting the Falcons is simple, its personal. I've introduced myself to Falcons fans, and have been denied/insulted on the spot. I've seen how the Falcons stadium clears out when they appear to be losing. I've watched fans boo legitimate calls when they don't go the Falcon's way. My wife and I have been provoked and harassed by Falcons fans both in Atlanta and in Charlotte, once while I carrying my 4 year old neice. I've had my car broken into in a Falcons parking lot. Now, I've got you here(a Flacons fan) to slam my team, as if to show that selecting the Falcons is the wrong choice in a most hated poll. You could have convinced me better by showing how your organization and fans value honor, respect, and hard work. I guess that left your house when your team bailed on Warrick Dunn, probably one of the most respected RB's in the game.

I'll give you this. Falcons fans still have more class than Dallas.

It did plummet once Shinn's brilliant move of overpaying Larry Johnson (which started a downspiral along the league regarding ridiculous contracts) backfired, and he subsequently started shipping all of our good players in multiple money saving deals. When teams stop winning and ownership shows that they don't care about building a winning team, fans stop showing up. This pretty much addresses Saint J's post too, everything was looking rosy in Charlotte the first few years of Shinn's ownership but look how that turned out.

I have no problem with anybody on here selecting ATL as the team they hate the most means the team must be doing well against them. I believe the only team in the division CAR has a losing record against. Hey if there was a poll on our site like this (which there always is) I would vote CAR for many of the same reasons you listed. As for your last attempt at a jab about Dunn, he was a 30 plus year old running back two years past his prime scheduled to make 6.5 mil the year he was released. He signed with the Bucs and they released him after last season. I guess I should ask why your team released Stephen Davis? Oh yeah he was past his prime making to much money. As far hard work every player on every team in the league has worked hard to be where they are. Our owner worked hard founded his own company sold it and made millions. As far honorable things I can have visit out website and see all the foundations players on our team have set up. Anything else I can help you with.

Ah, another Falcon fan bringing up what happened in the Michael Vick days. When's the last time you guys finished ahead of us in the NFC South? 2004?
