while we're bashing the saints, i go to LSU and have to deal with fairweather saints fans...i have met few people who know anything about the saints before drew brees and reggie bush. also, people and media forget that the reason so many people died during katrina is not becuase the government didn't act or there wern't any warnings, the people are stubborn and didn't leave. thier fault, no one elses. ive never met a more incompetant and unkowledgable fan base. IMO

car or not, if you have a cat. 5 hurricane bearing down on your city, that is below sea level, your going to do anything you can to get out. all those excuses about not having cars is irrelevant. if you are put in a life altering/threatning situation, you're going to do anything you can to get out. people can't sit around waiting for the gov., this isn't a socialist gov....or at least it wasn't till a few months ago...

We don't need fans, the Saints have a huge & loyal fan base. The team has kept a large and loyal fan base for 42 years.

It actually has a lot to do with football, the Saints are to New Orleans what the Bills are to Buffalo, the Cards to St. Louis, the Knicks to New York, etc.

They're a symbol of the city. That's what happens when a team is around for decades.

New Orleans is a very dense city, people can get to where they need to by walking, bikes, bus, and the streetcars. Many of the folks stuck in Katrina depended on public transportation.

I guess they care enough to spends billions and billions on New Orleans, and install 100 year storm protection. New Orleans has many more assets than other places int he country considering we have one of the biggest port systems in the world and 25% of the oil and natural gas this country uses is produced right off of our coast.

I wouldn't expect an uneducated retard like yourself to understand that though.
