hey buddy NEWFLASH: this isn't about you. get over yourself, multiple lives were negatively and permanantly affected today. so sorry if this inconveniences you for 3 hours of one day.

Sorry, but i agree with PantherTrain.

Why should anyone outside the Belcher family be inconvenienced because of his death?

Society has no duty to assist individuals to overcome a misfortune.

PFT has been reporting it was the victim's mother present. ESPN and other sources are saying it was Belcher's mother.

Again, it's horrible either way.

EDIT: NFL.com story, citing the police spokesman's report, says it was the victim's mother.

"About (7:50 a.m), we got a call to a residence, in regards to a shooting, on the 5400 block of Crysler Avenue," Snapp said by phone. "We arrived and the lady there informed us that her daughter had been shot by her on-again, off-again boyfriend. The young woman was taken to a local hospital, where she died a short time later.

Some of you are pathetic. I'm only 19 years old, and even I know the game should be cancelled or delayed a long while (to Wednesday or end of season). I love the panthers too, but a tragic life event such as this? If we play tomorrow I almost hope we lose, just for the sake of KC and their fans...football is a game that can be played anytime, anywhere. On the other hand, your life can end anytime and anywhere. Some of you fans make me sick.

Your comment is an indication of the education you haven't received.

Someone commits suicide every day. I have no obligation to give a crap about it.

Like I said, for me it all depends on what the Chiefs want.

If they wanna play, fine. If they want to postpone, or even cancel, I'm fine with that too.

I disagree it should be up to the Chiefs. It should be up to the league.

It maybe 'just a game' but its football. Put a helmet on, respect the work you put in, respect the money you make, respect the fans that support you, respect the league and the 16 games, respect the hall of fame, respect the other players and teams and the hard work they put in, respect the cities that rely on this 'game' to drive their economies, and go out on the field and be grateful. There will be plenty of time to grieve after the game is over.

Reading this thread just confirms to me that most on here have no life and no perspective outside of panther football. I hope they play the game tomorrow so you guys don't off yourselves too.

And stop with the stupid comparisons to Torrey smith, manti te'o, 9/11 and rae carruth. It just makes you look dumber than you already are.

misfortune, really??? their car wasn't stolen. a woman was murdered and the suspect killed himself in front of his colleagues. and an innocent child will now grow up w/o either parent, sounds more like a tragedy to me.
