I rarely come on the board and even more rarely post anymore - yet this pie thread drew me in all the way to the end and I found I had to reply.

My vote goes for apple. It would have been cherry, but it's almost impossible to find a really good cherry pie - so much of it is just goopy filling. Furman University Cafeteria makes the best cherry pie I've ever had - I had it once when I chaperoned at band camp and I couldn't wait until the next year to go back. But then they didn't have it .... I actually asked about it and they made some just for me.

On a side note - if you ever get the opportunity to try the Harvest Pie at Sam's Club - you should. Apple, cranberries (yes, cranberries), and nuts. Delish.
