Busy day for Bears

Bobby Wade has had his panties in a wad and gone out of his way to talk poo about the Bears ever since the dumbass couldn't field a punt in concurrent regular season games and got his sorry ass cut by the Bears. Now his useless 3rd string ass says something dumb again about the team he hates the most and his largest division rival and his words are fact!

Amazing.

Amazingly idiotic, that is. Do you people really think that Urlacher is stupid enough to actually say that to a division rival, whether they're friends or not and give that guy ammo? Seriously? How many times has this happened with Urlacher in the past? Hmmmm?

That's right- zero.

So, until further notice, I call BS.

But, hey, the Voice of Reason believes it, so it must be true! He knows Bobby and Brian so well.

Urlacher has not, to my knowledge, actually said "I did not say that". The quotes I have read are not actual denials he said it. It's easy enough simply to say "I did not say that" if that is the case. Maybe that doesn't mean anything & is just semantics or maybe it means he knows someone else overheard it or what have you, who knows? All I know is that if I absolutely did not say something I am going to say I absolutely did not say it. Kind of like how Roeth did not say that he didn't sleep with that chick (just that he didn't assault her), to me means he did sleep with her at least...same with this.

A defensive guy ripping a QB?

Wow.

The former alpha dog, Urlacher and the Chicago Bears soon to become Cutler and the Chicago Bears......it adds up.

The '85 Bears O and D pretty much ripped each other non stop. The HC, OC, and DC frickin' HATED each other.

As long as the two sides pull their weight, nobody will give a sh*t.

I don't give a damn if either Cutler or Urlacher win the Brian Piccolo award for citizenship. I want them to beat the crap out of the opposition.

Period.

Epi you are right about the 85 Bears, no doubt about it. They put the "fun" in dysfunctional. I think that the difference now is that team dysfunction (or comments or whatever) is magnified by the huge increase in media, bloggers the internet etc. Now players are twittering, getting asked about twitters, texting, etc. It's more of a saturation and a possible distraction now. At the very least it can make teammates question each other which appears to be Wade's aim.

Even if BU said it, the guy most in the wrong is still Wade by a mile. If I were a teammate if Wade's I would never tell him another personal opinion about another player or coach.

Good point.

But I wonder if what is being tweeted and facebooked and instaquoted is already old news.

The guys in the locker room already know who is buddies and who hates each other.

it is like any other workplace, some people you love, some people you like, and some people you wish would stay home sick all the time.

I don't think it matters, as long as the O and D have leaders that rally their respective sides, all will be well.

As to Wade breaking "the player code"......I wonder if it isn't already understood that he flaps 'em too often, and nobody takes him cereal anyway.

He's lightin' a little fire, and it sounds like on the local talker that nobody at Halas Hall gives a damn.

Indeed, that's the truth. But...knowing internally in a company or LR that X doesn't like Y is magnified by reading a comment on the internet or hearing it said on the radio or in the papers I think. I have heard plenty of disparaging comments towards co-workers and made them myself to other co workers who agreed about someone's uselessness but I think it would change the dynamic a bit if it was said on/in a public forum. I am sure guys call each other all kinds of even worse names in the LR, they fight, are known to hate each other etc. But the company "business being put out on the street" thing is never a good thing, IMO. For example, if I were even talking to a vendor and had to discuss something a co worker did, even if I hated the useless em effer, I wouldn't say that to a vendor let alone post about it with names somewhere while I was working there or even now. It puts the commented upon party on the constant defensive publicly which may anger them. And may even make it harder to work with them. And we all know that sometimes perception is reality regardless of the source's credibility. Doesn't mean I think it will affect the relationship between Urlacher and Cutler, not at all. Only that it COULD. And it MIGHT carry over in other ways. If I knew a co-worker thought I was useless and they posted it or said it in the papers or what have you, it would make me have more doubts/ill feelings about them.

I don't think it will necessarily BE a big deal at all in and of itself, just that once it's a public comment like that it can be brought up again over and over and you know how good the media is for harping on chit even if it's stupid and meaningless chit. And it may be mitigated by Wade's rep as a chit-stirrer, but at the very least guys being asked about this type stuff over and over can wear on them. How much you wanna bet that if BU and JC are caught jawing at each other over something on the sidelines, some media wag won't bring this up even though it may have NOTHING to do with that at all? I wouldn't take that bet!

Wade is the real punk. I hate that passive aggressive type manipulative chit. Looks like he "learned" something from Lord F.

I know them about as well as you do :)

Yeah, I think Urlacher probably said it. You might have missed that I also said it would have zero effect on things.

Given that teammates on various teams in training camp call names, trash talk and have fistfights only to make up shortly thereafter, why would this incident have any staying power?

one thing is you have to consider the source.

there's plenty of reason for him to start poo.

at this point the only reason you can believe this is true is if you harbor irrational hatred towards Jay Cutler and only hope to see him fail because his swagger doesn't fit your prototype squeaky clean QB image.
