Yes, but we probably have to play a lot of zone to mask our flaws in the defensive secondary. We just don't have the overall talent yet to fully commit to the JJ43 defense, particulary @ OLB, SS and FS.

He was amazing at Tampa. He just resigned at USC. Since we are getting a new coaching staff. What do you guys think about him as DC?

what's wrong with the DC that we have?

A DC can only devise scheme's that his players can execute.

the smarter and better the players play........ the more stuff he can install.

McDermott has been bailed out this year by the fact that the defensive line is finally playing up to there potential. Everything else has been suspect. Really you can credit Hurney more for the success in picking up Edwards and Alexander.

Yes you did, a 3rd round pick, a guy cut at the beginning of the season, and a sixth round flourishing on the d line improving a defense and Hurney gets no credit for that? Think about that.....And im sure the other defensive coaches have had some credit in them developing too.

jj43 is a zone coverage defense. plus its the 2nd year we have heard this, we just dont blitz like that.
