Though being a pothead doesn't mean much..blatantly not following the rules does and weed is part of it.

Very debateable breaking the rules and smoking weed has anything to do with anything. We don't know the personal lives of people just because we see them on TV. Do you speed? Isn't that breaking the rules? Or do you think it tells you something about character? Because it most likley doesn't, and you can't possibly say that it does unless you know what everyone does in their personal time. You don't know who breaks the rules if they aren't caught therefore you do not know whether they have any significant effect on players preformance or even negativley impacting character for that matter.

It's only a 'big part of it' because he got caught. Now there is an argument...too stupid to get caught. I can see that one, but really smoking weed is not breaking any kind of logical rule. Even drinking and driving to me is a bigger rule to break than smoking weed, much much bigger. And no one would say poo about a DUI in college...well unless someone is killed, maybe, and that would never be a possible direct result of weed. History should tell us that it is people who break the rules who usually force the more logical and humane outcomes.

Seriously...breaking the rules lol give me a break. Some rules ok, but instead of saying rules are rules let's use more logic to decide what we do and don't do and don't let followers or rebels decide good character, we can use logic there too.

I may be reading to little into this but you sir may be reading wayyyyy too far into this whole thing. It doesn't matter if the rule is logical.. smoke ..get caught it's your fault. Why not just stop if you know you arn't supposed to? Hasn't he been caught for this twice now which means he was too lazy to listen the first time?

Like anyone else, we need to bring him in, talk to him and see where he is at, and work him out. He is a little undersized, but does have NFL talent.

The question is what round (risk) justifies the gamble, and, of course, who would we be skipping to take him. If he is still there in the 4th, I would think that we would give him some serious consideration if he seems to have his head on straight.

Bingo. The problem isn't the pot. It's the stupid.

Kid was impulsive / arrogant / stupid to the point that he got himself kicked off his college team. I'm okay with a guy who makes one or two dumb mistakes as a kid (lots of people do) but repeat offenders get a red flag for stupidity and poor judgment.

As far as the comparisons, I'd probably go more Patrick Peterson than Captin Munnerlyn, which means his NFL future is probably brighter as a return guy than a DB, but that's assuming he can show better judgment as a pro.

Frankly not convinced that a guy who didn't have enough self-discipline to keep his nose clean in a college environment will suddenly grow up when he's handed more freedom and a lot of money.
