Yeah I would see paying top dollar for sports stuff. I would have a box or 3 at the Panthers, Bobcats and future Knights stadium.

No...this is why you start a charitable foundation and make the purchase THROUGH that. Have whatever cause you want use it and you "host". This is how the smart rich do it.

For my home I'd:

Build a 3500sq ft LEED Certified Platinum home on about 500 acres in central NC.

Build a garden/greenhouse/aquaculture system that would produce enough for a family of 6 (even though its just me and the wife)

Install wind & solar power generation to be as minimally "grid" dependent as possible

Build a workshop with all of the equipment to build kayaks and carve greenland paddles

Dedicate ~40 acres to a no kill animal rescue
