stewart has a high ankle sprain

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't be surprised to see Stewart go to IR. He has had that ankle nagging him all season long. Do we still have Poole or Smith on the practice squad? I'd love to sign one of them and see what they can do for us. If not, I want to see Tolbert get more carries than Deangelo

stewart sprained his left ankle not is right one, which is what youre thinking

D Will was successful when we were running that zone blocking scheme when fox was here. Thats where he was successful, when Rivera and Co. got here we gutted that and have been running schemes that dont help our running backs at all. Everything has been tailored around Cam so the other players have just had to get in where they fit in which has been the wrong philosophy for the past 2 years.......Terrible Coaching once again.

run deangelo out of the I-form and deep single back sets against the chiefs and watch him gain 100 yards. vision is one of his strengths and this read option/delayed handoff garbage is idiotic to run with him.

williams ran out of a read option/delayed handoff 2x against the eagles.

his other 9 runs came with newton under center.

he is struggling. period.

I like Stew but he can't stay healthy...

true, but he can still play effectively with most of his injuries.

case in point, he's been struggling with injuries all season long, yet he is still edging out williams in production.

he still has some 100 or some odd games to miss before he has missed just as many games as williams...that is sarcasm just in case someone doesn't get it.

This, plus plenty of tosses and pitches. No counters, they take too long to develop and our line can't handle them.

Mix in a few triple options even, just don't make it the fuging base offensive set.

Having huge holes to run through is what he needs......

He doesn't have that and therefore will go down like a sack of potatoes no matter how you use him.

And that's specific to Williams, how? Stewart had just as shitty of a game.

No he didn't.

Stewart had 5 runs of 4 or more yards. Williams 1. Williams also consistantly gets diddly poo at a higher rate.

Williams will be 30 next year....still amazing people can't wrap their heads around him being at the end of his career. He isn't that guy we saw in 2008 regardless of scheme

    • Some of you who are not sold on Canales are insane. His main purpose was to turn around Bryce Young’s career and he did that. Of all of the teams in the top 10 of the NFL draft, we were the team that was consistently showing the most fight week in and week out. Our players never quit on the season. The offense which he is responsible for took a huge step forward compared to last year, despite the lack of skill talent  that we have. It was our defense that was a mess. That’s one of my critiques on Canales. He should’ve gotten rid of Evero and hired his own DC that shares the same vision. But as a whole, I can’t see how people are not pleased with what Canales did with this team. I’d give him an 9/10
    • One of the first thoughts after the game yesterday was that JT was going to jump all over it. He's been more favorable about BY from the beginning, and so yesterday must've felt like Christmas.
    • Maybe, but they were always going to be an impossible team to accurately mocked right now. They have an absurd amount of cap room, what they need right now will not be what they need come draft day.  They can make multiple big splash signings and even make trades for players who need new contracts and their teams don't want to give it to them. OT and WR might be their two biggest needs right now, but it wouldn't be unreasonable to think they could go into the draft needing neither of them.  I think a LT will be their top FA priority, also think they're going to make a big offer to Higgins, and I could see them being a team in the running to trade for someone like DK Metcalf as they need a WR like him and they have the cap space to give him a big new contract.
