I agree. Did anyone see Hangartner grab Cam after his 2nd TD right before Cam was about to do his superman? Cam did the right thing and scratched the celebration and celebrated with his teammates.

It takes a great deal of hardwork, self esteem, cockiness, and otherworldly belief in yourself to make it to the NFL. Some guys celebrate and it is no big deal while others are slammed for the smallest thing. Don't mistake it though, all of these guys think highly of themselves. For a guy who analyst said could not be an NFL qaurterback and was not capable of doing anything he did in college at this level, I would rub that ish in their faces every chance I got. Much like Cam is doing. After he hugged Hangartner, he did the Superman. The funny thing is that I have seen over ten players in CFB doing the Superman this year including the kid from A & M and the linebackers from Notre Dame. Cam is such a posterboard for doing things the wrong way.

You got it exactly right. I created a post a while back just suggesting that Anderson get a chance to start over Cam and it was moved to the Smack Forum. Of course, this is not a democracy either..... so it is what it is.

No. The funny (sad?) thing is that he's right. You'd get two or three solid weeks of "maturity/finally getting it" pieces from the sports media were he to stop celebrating. Peter King would eat a croissant in his honor and give Newton a fluff piece about growing up in MMQB.

Personally, I don't really care one way or the other, but find it a little telling that most who hate it think Smith is badass when he has a stroke after a 4 yard completion.

This goes back to my original reply today. This forum is open to almost anything, except criticisms of Cam. This includes suggestions that he be benched in favor of a veteran (pro-bowl, sort of) quarterback, which as we wittnessed, will get your post moved to another forum.

So, was I trolling the entire board when I suggested that a veteran quarterback get a chance to start over a struggling, immature 2nd year quarterback? No, but the fact that even the moderators here can't handle the suggestion is further proof of my point. We can suggest that any other player get benched or cut and that the coach (and owner) be fired, but it is trolling to suggest that the quarterback be benched?
