Please Cam... Stop the first down celebration..

I personally don't mind the celebrations....shows emotion.

But, there is a reason why Cam might want to stop them right now. The media is all over this guy. Everything he does just adds fuel to the fire. By stopping them now, you shut them up to some extent.

Again....not bashing for him doing it. Just pointing out that his life might get a little easier if he did.

Yea it was cool last year but the act has grown stale. That poo is for corners and receivers, not qb's

I agree. Did anyone see Hangartner grab Cam after his 2nd TD right before Cam was about to do his superman? Cam did the right thing and scratched the celebration and celebrated with his teammates.

Yeah. I wouldn't mind it so much if it was spontaneous---even if it seemed spontaneous. Cam's first down celebration seems just too scripted, and in that sense it just looks kind of lame. You may have seen a Brady, Manning, Montana, Elway or Bradshaw give a fist pump or something of that nature in the moment, but basically their success does/did most of the talking. I don't mind a TD celebration, but first down celebrations should be saved for outstanding plays executed at key moments.

Glad someone agrees....

The funny (sad?) thing is you actually believe that.

Yes Cam please show your strength and leadership and cave in who you are to appeal the media of all people.

No. The funny (sad?) thing is that he's right. You'd get two or three solid weeks of "maturity/finally getting it" pieces from the sports media were he to stop celebrating. Peter King would eat a croissant in his honor and give Newton a fluff piece about growing up in MMQB.

Personally, I don't really care one way or the other, but find it a little telling that most who hate it think Smith is badass when he has a stroke after a 4 yard completion.
