We HAVE to catch a game together someday. We have the same line of thinking. I want Cam to score and do a people's elbow to the ball. That'd be awesome.

I'll start putting change in a jar today to save up for our bail. Wouldn't want to burden the wife for bail money.

i hope he does.. i was glad to see him on the sidelines last week cheering on the defense and praising is o line. like riveras favorite thing to say his maturity " is a process."

hes still young, and has a lot to learn but it kills me the way the media murders him.. its pathetic if you ask me. hopefully next year(with a new coaching staff) cam and co will get back on track and the meda will gtfo with all their cam hate bullshit

IMHO he's changed for the better since the start of season. His pressers have gotten more professional and mature. He is showing some positive emotion on the sideline and looks more vocal to his team mates.

A lot of this BS from the media and fans he brings on himself.

id like to him start treating the media like mike ditka used to

I'm in my late twenties but I've never, ever seen a QB (and to an extent an athlete) more scrutinized than Cam Newton. It's crazy. He's one of the most polarizing athletes I have ever seen as a sports fan.

i dont watch his pressers anymore, being forced to do that after a rough game is tough to watch

I haven't had the chance to troll an entire GD fanbase since the Bears playoff win in '05. I ever get on the East Coast, you bastards and I are gonna make retards cry.

Well, no, there was the Chargers in 08, but point remains. I love nothing better than hearing poo all GD game, in a bar, by myself, and turning around to empty seats or dejected faces.

Had the San Diego troglodytes stuck around after 88's td, I was gonna do the Lights-Out dance to the asshole who told me after the Chargers went up that the "exit was that way, and if I didn't like it, go through the door."

Cam rubs a lot of people the wrong way. He isn't a thug, doesn't get DUIs, doesn't kick players in the nuts on Thanksgiving games, and I've heard he doesn't even drink alcohol.

I just think his arrogance, and let's be honest here, the dude has shown a bratty personality at times rubs people the wrong way.

LA is only ever a temporary location for an NFL team.

LA is a horrible, horrible sports town. So is Charlotte. The reason for this is there are more transplants there than actual natives.

Every time I meet someone in Charlotte, over half the time they are from another state. I tell them I'm from Charlotte born and raised and they are shocked.

Haha that's why whenever I hear about someone being a Panther fan from another state who honestly has no affiliation to the city much less the state, I always laugh and think damn dude you couldn't pick a better team?

There is a guy who calls in WFNZ from time to time who has lived in Arkansas his entire life and loves the Panthers.

I don't know if anyone listens to The Dan Patrick Show on a regular basis, but that one called "Craig in Pennsylvania" is a die hard panther fan. Don't know how he wound up as one lol.

    • I mean it's not even like this was his worst game of the season... I'm not done with him by any means but this feels more the norm for him than the exception:/
    • I'd give it a C mainly because of Brooks.  If we just didn't have a 2nd I'd argue B to B+ tbh. Brooks was a bad gamble, tho one that could still pay off long term. Yes XL only has 400 yards but... Look who is throwing him the ball. And I think he isn't a "true #1" but he's been able to consistently get open. Hands definitely need to be cleaned up.  But he should end the year with 500-600 yards. Like you said - Sanders looks great.  Get him a better QB / more time with a QB and I think he's gonna impress. We added a couple rotational players on D that have both made plays and show promise for the future from later rounds. So I'd say, Brooks really hurts this drafts grade. It'll be interesting to see how it progresses over the next 3 years. I've overall really liked Morgan's FA acquisitions, so...
    • Oh he would absolutely flourish. It’s the panthers way. It’s no different with coaches. Sometimes they reach their expiration date, go somewhere else, and find new success.  Similarly to Burns, how long to wait for the light to finally turn on?  Market forces will demand a salary that the panthers can not responsibly match. Sliding him to guard will fit his skill set better, but he has played LT for 3 years. He will receive offers from other teams wanting to pay him LT money.  At guard, he won’t start with what they have paid Hunt and Lewis. Center then?? Dunno. Maybe? He will become a backup by default once they draft their stud LT. I doubt Dan just stands pat. That’s not his MO.  So where does this put him? Can you match what other teams will offer for a backup LT/guard? Do you dish out franchise LT $ on a guy who still needs significant improvement in pass protection. This team will be DOA in the playoffs with the very first team who has a formidable speed rusher. What if he has hit his ceiling in pass protection already and they sign him long term? It’s a big gamble either way.
