NFCS Tight Ends

I think not only does the NFCS feature the leagues top QBs, but they also feature amazing TE's.

You have Jimmy Graham, Dallas Clark, and Antonio Gonzales. (Yes 2 are getting up in their age, but still in their prime).

Greg Olsen is a very good player, and has been useful. However this season he has at times, been under utilized. Do you think he could be a top 5 TE with a new coaching staff?

I am confident that he will be a building block in the new system.

Olsen is an absolute joke at run blocking, and imo one of the major reasons behind our issues there. When he's blocking during a run play, his defender usually makes the play in the backfield.

But... I think he's a really good receiving TE and Cam should target him more in the RZ. But, I also think Smith should be moved to the slot or subbed in the RZ. He can't go up and get those fade corner routes like he used to. Gettis, Murphy and Lafell are much better targets at the #1/#2 WR position in those instances.

Olsen plays soft at times, and has the dropsies. He can be elite, and be mentioned with those guys but he's got alot of work to do.

This is my feeling. Last season I was hyped about him but he didn't seem to have the fight or toughness I expected from him. Its one of the main reasons why I wish we would have kept Shockey because their skill sets were different but the perfect balance for a two tight end set
