During the summer I bought four tix to the Justin Bieber show in January. I figured I'd give two to my daughter for Christmas, then scalp the remaining two and recoup my total investment. Then this "One Direction" group shows up and all the girls love them now and don't really care for the Bieb. FML.

My wife and I took our 16 y.o. and these two girls he's working on a school project with to dinner last week and that's all these girls talked about, New Direction... it was... interesting...

How old is your daughter? One of these girls is 17 and the other is 16 and they were just going on and on about it... these are very intelligent, straight A students and seemed very mature (aside from this), and I frankly found it very weird.

She's 14, a freshman in HS.

Beiber and One direction are not catering to you anyway so why care?

My 10 year old hates Bieber but is all nuts for one direction... Their target market. always will be an income stream for lolypop bubblegum pop.

Of course..she still will sing along to Slayer's Angel of Death with me... A well rounded prodigy who cannot resist her new hormonal lust of teen boys... Not even Slayer can prevent that.
