None of those guys are pass first lol. Kemba is as good if not better than some of those guys. Also for the love of all that is good, it is Kemba's second year give the kid a break.

Kemba struggled in three straight games vs bigger PGs (Teague and Westbrook) who are just as fast and quick as him.

Kemba is not a PG who controls a game. He's another 6th man shooter.

Your case is bad . The only one worth looking at is Kemba vs Hill.

Don't just go by stats. If I was just going by stats, I'd be like everyone of y'all and crowning Kemba King already.

Goran played a much better game. He distributed the ball and managed the offense for the Suns. You can't even compared Ridnour. Kidding me? Ridnour is an average backup PG. and Teague, yea Teague outplayed Kemba in that game.

I'm looking at what a player does for the team before looking at stats alone.

Example, Rubio ppg is very low but the man changes his team when he's on the floor. He makes everyone around him better and manage the game to another level.

Isiah Thomas was a scoring PG. If message boards existed in the 80s do you think Pistons fans would say "we need a new PG, Isiah isn't a pass-first PG and he's too short"?

Well since you watch the games I'm sure you know that Kemba is currently the only crunch time scorer on the team and has single-handedly won games already this year with his clutch buckets.

There is a reason everyone on here except you has been impressed with Kemba's improvement this year- he has played well. Doesnt mean he doesnt have things to work on, but he has looked very promising

I'm not saying that Kemba is a top 10 PG right now, but I am saying that he's looking like the best PG that we've ever had. Kemba took a huge step back last night, but he had to go up against the Thunder. The Thunder make a lot of good players look like scrubs. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't excuse Kemba's play against the Thunder (he was AWFUL), but that game also doesn't dismiss his solid year. He's still inconsistent, unfortunately, but that will improve over time I'm sure. He's been our best player and our leader throughout the year, and I'm sticking with him all season.

Also, I hope that no one really thinks that Rubio is better than Irving. Rubio is so overrated.. sooooo overrated. He's a good floor general, but that's where it all starts and ends for him. I would take Kemba over him right now. Rubio might get better, or he might stay put as a worst shooting / better defensive version of Jose Calderon. According to advanced stats, Rubio actually hurt the offense when he was on the floor, mostly due to his .357 shooting percentage (he was a black hole on offense when asked to shoot).

This sums up the thread. Not one of those guys are "pass first" or "one who controls the game." You don't necessarily need a PG that is "pass first" to win.

I love pass first point guards, I would actually prefer one (Not Rubio though, he doesn't offer nearly enough in other areas. Not sure why you keep bringing him up like he would transform our team). I also hope you know that you have to have the right personnel around you to plug in a pass first PG. We don't have that quite yet.

Sure we can win with a different PG but that's not to say we can't win with Kemba. We need to surround him with talent, especially in the front court to really get a full scope of his impact. It's unfair to judge him with this talent and the role he has to take on. And he is certainly not the problem with our team, not close.

It makes more sense to draft and target capable bigs in the post. Developing Kemba, Taylor, and MKG coupled with a competent front court will do a lot of good.

Can we let this thread die? We are not drafting Kabongo.
