It never fails. Extremists always claim to be realists that just aren't accepted because the sheep don't want to hear what they have to say. They never seem to accept the possibility that no one agrees with them because they are just flat wrong.

And by the way, is it just me or does anyone else find it humorous that some people are using Colin K. as a new benchmark after 1 start in the NFL?

Saying it, while ignoring all the facts, the argument, and drawing your foregone conclusion, with your only method of "winning" is by having another 4-5 guys repeating it the same foregone conclusion, doesn't make it right.

Like I said, there's a common practice here of inventing convenient arguments that don't actually exist and a failure to read. It's mind boggling the amount of ignorance that some of you display. As if no one could go back 2 pages and see that I said nothing of the sort. It's simply delusional.

But you are right this thread wouldn't exist because once again, if we had Harbaugh, Cam would be on the bench or would not be here at all. Harbaugh ran a pro style offense with Andrew Luck in college. He would have nothing to do with Cam Newton.

He clearly operates better under center in normal formations than he does in the gimmick offense, I find it funny that you keep using Kaepernick as an example seeing as he played in a QB rushing offense becoming the first college QB to pass for 2,000 yards and rush for 1,000 three seasons in a row, not to mention you want to crown him after one game.

And I hope you realize that is still an opinion. In fact most of your post is backed up by nothing but your opinion. Clearly better? Where is it clear? In my opinion, having a taylor made offense to suit your style, is being placed in a position to succeed.

I'm not using Colin as an example or some measuring stick. I simply responded to someone who said Colin was" Cam Newton light" and I pointed that is ridiculous and listed out areas where that is not at all the case. Go back and read it again, if you need to.

But you see, your opinion and my opinion cancels themselves out, and what you are left with at the end, are some hard to ignore stats and facts. He's at the bottom of just about every single category the NFL uses to grade and rate quarterbacks.

There is nothing circular about my reasoning. Pretty straight forward what I said. What is happening is you have to circle around it, or divert it, because they are hard for you to acknowledge, admit and that's because you can't possibly stand agreeing with me.

You notice how you didn't actually argue ONE single fact based point I made? You either brought up something from the past twisted the way it fits your argument, attempted some sort of personal attack to derail the argument, or ignored anything you couldn't combat. I could say the Earth is round, and you will find some way of twisting that so you don't have to agree. The very side effect of butt hurt grudge holding...and quite frankly the rest of your posts, are the very definition of trolling.

I think what he said is very clear to me and for anybody with a little good sense. Seemed reasonable and lucid. He posted a number of popular stats I see everyone around the NFL and around here use to back up what he is saying.

This is a forum for Panthers Fans but it feels like anytime anyone has some kind of different opinion, they end up having to defend the right to have it from some personal attack. It's even worse when it comes to criticism of Cam.

To answer the OP, it's obvious the veteran players do not believe he earned the right to be voted captain.

Dude, first of all the common era is the Roger Goodell era. This is where offenses began having the most significant advantage over defesnses. It wasn't nowhere near this even in the early 2000's.
