Coach throws a challenge and gets a 15 yard penalty. Dumbass refs never blew the whistle so it can't be reviewed.

Why do they even have instant replay if crap like this happens?

That was pretty terrible. I was under the impression all scoring plays were reviewed anyway?

Since it was a "scoring play" Schwartz didn't need to challenge. But since he threw the flag they got the penalty. I just didn't know of the consequence of losing the reviewability of the play. As a result Detroit may have their own version of the Hochuli call.

I can't stand how much publicity the replacement refs got for the "Fail Marry", when the high paid official ref's make terrible call's like this on a weekly basis.

We have entered a point in this game in which referee's will be good for either a TD against you or take one away from you every week.
