I think there is a "group think" where one ranking affects the other. Guys are almost afraid to deviate much from their bretheren. They would almost rather be wrong as long as it is wrong together. That way they all talk about how no one saw that one coming.

No kidding huh?

It's the same thing with talking about teams. They parrot each other using erroneous "facts" they picked up somewhere. It's why I like sites like Cold Hard Football Facts. Even if I don't always agree with them, at least they base their conclusions on things they research and quantify.
