What should I do?

Every other place I've worked at made concessions- put a note in the guests rooms saying "Our employees want to be with their families, we will provide service if you request it, yadda yadda yadda", and most people were cool with it. But at "The Plantation" -Wrightsville Beach's boutique resort- everybody has to work because "WE'RE GOING TO BE SO BUSY". They even put up a notice telling employees to park on the street and walk to work so they can have the parking spaces.

If you dont go in you wont be screwing your employer, youll be screwing the people you worked with - someone is going to have to pick up your slack over the holiday and they probably have a family too. Man up.

Ad far as unused vacation days they have to pay you those no matter what.

Squirrel is right. You used to be able to decide if you wanted to as a business, but the laws changed recently, they have to give it to you. Don't let them screw you over on that.

Oh and fug going in the rest of the week.
