Have anyone ever seen this before?

Tampa Game:

From under center: 11 runs, 23 yards

From shotgun (rbs): 11 runs, 39 yards (of which 2 for 21 useless in first half garbage time)

From shotgun (Cam): 6 runs, 24 (not including scrambles)

Botton line:

Our o-line su**s at power run blocking!

Our o-line su**s at read option run blocking!

It is not the scheme that is the problem.

In the years I've been watching football, which isn't very long, I've never seen a team that was so sabotaged by it's coaching staff. I mean I've seen bad coaching, I've seen bad teams, but I never seen a team held hostage by the coaches before. This is insanity.

Have you ever seen a coaching staff leave a working offensive style, in favor of something comletely new? Then once that new idea fails on it's head, they refuse to go back to what worked? You would have a hard time convincing me that was anything less than sabotaging. I mean this staff should be put on trial before court, because what they have done to this team is straight criminal. The funny thing is Rivera acting like he doesn't know what's wrong when he's speaking in his press conferences. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone when thinking about this team.

So now I'm not even mad at the coaches anymore, I think they proved they are insane at this point. Now I would like to ask the question about our players. We got real talent here, so why aren't they making a fuss about the coaching at this point? I said it before, if I were Cam, I would be in Rivera and Chud's ears about eliminating the read option. And if they won't hear that, I would start calling my own plays in the huddle. If they bench me, they bench me. If I were Josh Norman, I would start playing more man coverage. If they bench me, they bench me. These players are taking all the heat, when all of this is caused by our coaching staff. It's not right, it's downright criminal. So have you guys ever seen a situation like this?

I agree with you to some point. However, the oline has weaknesses and other teams knows it. They may have been adjusting the oline from week to week by the type of defense we will see or the type of offensive game plan we are wanting to run that week. Some linemen are better at run blocking than pass blocking. so with that being said, if you have the intension of running more than passing in the up coming game, would you want the RT or RG that is better in pass protection that opening running lanes (Not that any of this has actually happened thus far) but form a coaches stand point, this is what i do depending on the team we play each and ever week.

some would say just swap them out as you plan to run or pass. This is neer a good idea sine your (at some Point) letting the defense know what your doing ahead of time.

Cam the Scam is not making the throws, O-line cant make holes or protect, the freekin D cant cover Chitt, Coaching staff is lame big time, no adjustments @ halftime or during the game, so sickening to watch my team go down the drain,

and you guys are blind that think Cam is the answer, he's a great athlete but a so so QB, we'll NEVER win a SB with him,

im no expert, but Ive been a fan of football for 40 years, have watched many games/teams and this team SUCKS.

I hear the Cowpukes are accepting apps to become their fans, why not look into it?

lol.

i just don't understand why people would consider themselves fans of a team that they obviously hate. seems like such a waste of energy. just cut your losses and find another team that you actually like and become a fan.

I've seen Stew have a good cut back run out of the I formation Sunday. (The one where Olsen threw a good block) What did we do the very second after that? Go right back to the shotgun. This system stinks. All you need to do is look at last year compared to this year, and that is proof enough. Look at all the top rushers this season. Then tell me how many of those guys run out of the read option.

The scheme with this offense was to pretty much make Cam a one man show. I think Rivera and Chud seriously wanted to revolutionize this league with Cam, and they were willing to put everything on the line to look like geniuses. In the end, they come out being seen as looney.

I don't think the o-line is as bad as everyone makes them out to be. The main problem concerning the o-line and this running game, is we don't have a true fullback or a blocking TE. When it comes to passing, Cam doesn't have the greatest mechanics nor pocket presence. Yes, Gross have gotten beat often these past few games, but Cam could have stepped up in the pocket, to create himself a little more time.

I think benching Matt Moore in week 2 in a winnable game in 2010 was be biggest sabatoge job in Panther history. Fox ended our season in week 2 with a moronic QB shuffle.....and it was obvious Clausen didn't give us a better shot

I you think that one decent run out of 11 from under center proves that we can run, that is you opinion.

Just let me repeat the facts:

11 rushes from under center for 23 yards

So if we take away the run that you saw (I think it was for 11):

10 rushes for 12 yard

My opinion, backed but facts, are:

We stink at read option runs.

We stink even worse at runs from under center.

Feel free to disagree.

What about the first few games with a healthy o-line? What about the first game against the Bucs? How many yards did we pick up in that game out of the read option? I don't care how bad the o-line is, this scheme screwed them up big time. Are you in favor of this system?

There's no question the o-line is suffering, but pointing at them in saying this is a major problem in why we are losing, is off the mark. Again look around the league, and tell me how many top rushers run in a spread option offense. The stats highly suggest this system sucks.
