Have anyone ever seen this before?

In the years I've been watching football, which isn't very long, I've never seen a team that was so sabotaged by it's coaching staff. I mean I've seen bad coaching, I've seen bad teams, but I never seen a team held hostage by the coaches before. This is insanity.

Have you ever seen a coaching staff leave a working offensive style, in favor of something comletely new? Then once that new idea fails on it's head, they refuse to go back to what worked? You would have a hard time convincing me that was anything less than sabotaging. I mean this staff should be put on trial before court, because what they have done to this team is straight criminal. The funny thing is Rivera acting like he doesn't know what's wrong when he's speaking in his press conferences. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone when thinking about this team.

So now I'm not even mad at the coaches anymore, I think they proved they are insane at this point. Now I would like to ask the question about our players. We got real talent here, so why aren't they making a fuss about the coaching at this point? I said it before, if I were Cam, I would be in Rivera and Chud's ears about eliminating the read option. And if they won't hear that, I would start calling my own plays in the huddle. If they bench me, they bench me. If I were Josh Norman, I would start playing more man coverage. If they bench me, they bench me. These players are taking all the heat, when all of this is caused by our coaching staff. It's not right, it's downright criminal. So have you guys ever seen a situation like this?

start derek anderson!

Well if you consider that move to be insane, it may counter the insanity that is already being displayed. Kind of like curing a poison with a poison. Yet my argument with Derek Anderson is lost, because people seem to think I'm saying Anderson is a better QB than Cam. Or more talented than Cam. People will hear what they want to hear.

Just a couple of years ago, we had two of the better running backs in the league. Today, no one even knows who they are. Man, these guys don't get 15 carries between them. That is insane. With the kind of backs we have, our running game should be a strength. It's turned out to be our biggest weakness. What makes me mad is when I hear people saying Smitty, D-Will, and guys like that are done, when I know they can still play. I'm sick of looking at this mess, and no one is really getting on the coaches as much as they should. Half of the criticism is going to the players. I wish all of the criticism was going toward the coaches from the media and fans alike.

I understand the frustration, and I'm right there with you. But this line of thinking is a bit off IMHO. Do you have a boss? Do you always agree with what he/she asks you to do? No. But you do it anyway, cause you want to keep your job and keep those paychecks coming.

Defying coaches is a one-way ticket out of the NFL. Just ask Ray Edwards.

Yeah, but if I saw my boss running the business into the ground, I'm obligated to do something. First I would go to him/her, and talk about the problem. If he/she refuse to listen, then drastic measures should be taken. If I'm a person of intergrity, and people see me having to take drastic measures, they would look at that boss to see why I'm doing what I'm doing. Ray Edwards is not necessarily a class act. Seeing him acting up is nothing new. Plus the Falcons are a successful franchise under Mike Smith, they just struggle in the playoffs.

Cam the Scam is not making the throws, O-line cant make holes or protect, the freekin D cant cover Chitt, Coaching staff is lame big time, no adjustments @ halftime or during the game, so sickening to watch my team go down the drain,

and you guys are blind that think Cam is the answer, he's a great athlete but a so so QB, we'll NEVER win a SB with him,

im no expert, but Ive been a fan of football for 40 years, have watched many games/teams and this team SUCKS.

    • This would be the best option a future 2nd and 57 maybe. We’d still have ammo for this draft and you never know what capital we may acquire for next years draft. But getting EZ would really add some juice to our draft a top 3/4 Edge the top WR or at least top 1/2 WR seems like a good haul after two rounds of the draft. This isn’t close to a Brooks dislike last year and dam it sometimes you roll the dice you hit some you crap out some. But not trying or sitting and waiting isn’t going to get us our second impact player and we need 2 to 3 out of this draft to continue to build on where we need to be to contend with all teams.
    • You know when I won't be happy about this pick? When it completely ruins my fantasy draft this year, hahahahaha. We do an auction draft and while I have the most historical success in our league (same group of guys for about 15 years now), my one flaw is that I have a real hard time not overpaying for the guys I have a soft spot for and our league has gotten good at getting me to over bid on them to get them. I'm so screwed this year, I'm going to have to put a very hard cap on my budget for T-Mac and not allow myself to bid a dollar over it.  I've already made the determination that he's going to be the first player I nominate this year so I can get it out of the way early and don't sit on budget waiting for him only to over pay or not get him in the end.
    • Right. You want a quick hitting offense to receivers who can get open. The personnel around Bryce would be much better suited to a power run game and deep play action which would, unironically, be better suited to a guy like Sam Darnold.    Unless we draft another Theilen like guy later on, I truly don’t get it.    I still want Skattebo though. Have a feeling I won’t get that wish either.
