Why Cam Can't Call The Plays?

He doesn't "call the play" because he's not Peyton Manning. No clue why he doesn't wear them on his wrist. Maybe he's just used to getting the call from the sideline and not having to look at his arm to translate it into the play.

Coaches wouldn't let him wear them on this wrist. Didn't want to hold back his development as a NFL QB. Go figure.

I'm curious if the coaches don't trust Cam's ability to read the defense before the snap and that is why they limit what he can do. Or is the coaching staff fuging idiots.

I'm not ruling out the last one even if the first one is true.

He didn't wear a wristband last year. Also, just because a QB wears a wristband doesn't mean they're calling the plays, it just allows the OC to call a numbered play over the headset rather than the full text.

Hey, I don't really trust Cam changing the play before the snap, so lets just base our entire offense on changing the play after the snap. That way Cam should have plenty of time to read the defense and change what he's doing before he gets sacked

like others said, he didn't wear one last year.

that doesn't really have much to do with him not calling audibles.

chud's head is big and he trusts no one but himself. he thinks he's smart enough to win games, despite the fact that it isn't happening.

cam may need to know more to be trusted more with calling audibles, but if he's not prepared and equipped to do that, it falls squarely on the coaching staff for not developing him.

imo, the coaching staff dropped the ball in a lot of areas this year. they've not only stalled newton's growth, but they've also stunted the growth of the offense by paring down the giant playbook chud had created to just a few pages and not putting them in positions to win like they did last year.

The responses in this thread expose some of the shitbird, fake ass fans who would rather hate on a single player, than be a fan of the team (yous two know exactly who you are). Cam doesn't wear a QB wristband, because Chud made him study/memorize the entire Playbook, last year. Chud gave and interview in the CO about this very thing.
