The QB situation in Tampa under Gruden was a consistent mess. I don't know how you could overlook that.

If you had to pinpoint a reason for Gruden's departure it would be his inability to develop a QB.

and it wasn't like he didn't have a lot to choose from. he was given lots of QBs, in fact it was getting to the point of being a joke around the league that gruden collected QBs more than anyone but still couldn't do anything with them...and him supposedly being a QB guru.

that team won because of the defense and in spite of the offense.

The one young QB Gruden probably thought would work long term, well the Panthers removed his spleen. ;-)

The Bucs went 11-5 with Chris Simms as QB.

He actually made the PLayoffs again with Jeff Garcia, lol.
